บท 2: A Normal Day

The chilly morning winds flowed through the hair of Raj, as he watched the shimmering rays of sun racing over the horizon. He stood there for a moment with a look of gentleness and happiness. When the rays finally finished their little competition, he sat down and closed his eyes. He inhaled the morning air in his lungs, kept his breath for a moment before exhaling. He repeated the process of inhaling and exhaling for a few minutes. After the Pranayama, he did some Asanas which stretched his body and made the little bit of laziness escape. Completing his daily exercises, he jogged towards his home in the city, Meryar City.
"You went again to practice in the Gerah Mountains?"
He heard an angry voice which contained a trace of concern as soon as he reached his house.
"Ye... Yes, Mom. I ..."
"You... What have I done in my previous life that I got a very disobedient son."
"It... It won't happen again, Mom"
He tried to slip away but suddenly he felt a sharp pain as his ears got twisted and turned red.
"You useless son. I told you to stop going to the mountains because they are very dangerous, but you would not listen."
"Ouch... It won't happen again, Mom. I promiiisee."
"You, and your promises. Ah, what do I do?"
His mother gave a final twist to his ear. He held his hurt ear and backed away from his mother.
"Mom, It's best when I can see the sun rise and do yoga and exercise as I feel more rejuvenated than doing them here."
His mother grumbled and looked at him with sharp eyes and turned around to leave.
"You better save your explanations to yourself. You have a younger sister to take care of too. Don't run here and there. If something happens to you ..."
As he looked at her back, he felt as if his mother shuddered a little and he felt a sad vibe come out of her.
"Mom, you are still here right? You take care of us both."
He heard a sigh from his mother as she disappeared from the courtyard into their home.
After his mother went inside, he heaved a sigh of relief, shrugged his shoulders and went inside to get clean and ready for the school.
He got ready and walked to the school. When he left his home and onto the footpath, he saw a young girl around his age come out of a house near his. She looked quite shy and reserved, but it didn't stop Raj to gaze at her beauty. As he heard the girl close the front gate, he flustered a little and started to walk a little faster. Neither did he say anything and nor did he tried to slow down for her and neither did she say anything and nor did she tried to walk faster.
It took him... them about 15 minutes to reach the school in silence. As soon as he reached the school gate, he heard a voice and got excited.
"Yo, Bro R. Hows it going?"
He saw a person with the same school uniform but almost a head taller than him and he looked like Hulk according to their age group.
"Look at who it is. Hows it going, Strum?"
"Oh man, you look like someone sucked the hell outta you. So goddamn lean. Let me take you to eat some juicy fatty food."
"Heh Heh. It's natural bro. About the food, I'll pass. You rich people eat at places so expensive yet the quantity couldn't match up to the street vendors."
"Hahaha. Look at the quality. Quality. You understand?"
As they chatted, Raj noticed a certain someone come towards the school gate.
"Quality? I heard someone talk about quality. Look at the watch that I got yesterday as a gift. Haha, The net price is full 4,500,000 HC. Moreover, It's a Roly. ROLY! It's not for the likes who can't even afford it."
An arrogant voice sounded out. They saw that a very hot figure appeared in their school uniform. Raj saw the top button open which revealed something that men go head over heels for.
"Look at who is here. The sl... What?"
The voice of this girl pissed of Strum and after he heard what she said, he almost erupted. But Raj stopped him in time to stop a big fight to occur.
"I talked with my friend here. When did I talk to you? What did you try to say?"
The angry lady also almost erupted.
As soon as the atmosphere got lava hot, the bell rang as if a cold rain fell to control the lava's temperature.
"Iski, it's not over."
Strum got dragged into the class by Raj to stop the argument.
"Why did you stop me?"
"We can't afford to quarrel. You know who her boyfriend is."
"Goddamn bitch. Such a slut. Even taking the class monitor."
They reached the class in time and went to last to the second bench and settled down.
"Well Well, It seems like someone got rolled over."
"Please. If not for R, I would have smacked that bitch."
Raj looked back and saw Reyes and Gerard sat together.
"Reyes, It was a mess out there. Iski did it intentionally to aggravate Strum."
A voice came from the bench ahead.
"Just let me know if you want this bitch disgraced. I'll work out my fingers for you Strum."
Raj saw who spoke and gave a dark smile as his imagination started to fire up.
"Hey Aryan, Its a very good idea. Let's ..."
Before he could finish his sentence a beautiful woman in her 30s entered the class. Of course many students fantasized about her but in the end, it was just it, a fantasy.
"Gooodd Moornningg Teeachher." Everyone in the class stood up and wished the class teacher, Miss Meena.
"Good Morning. Everyone sit down." The teacher said it and started the class by with the attendance and then proceeded on.
The classes went on and on. Until Raj heard the robotic announcement of the Lunch Break through the electronic soundbar fitted on the bench.
Raj stood up and approached the door, turned back and gave a call to his friends.
"Let's go and check out what's in the menu for lunch."
Only Gerard stood up and went with Raj. He knew that his other friends hated the school cafeteria's food.
While on the way towards the cafeteria, he talked with Gerard about some questions related to Science.
All of a sudden he saw a fist come at his face with full power. He knew he could not avoid it and before he could process anything else, the fist connected to his face.
A stream of blood flowed through his nose.
He could not make out what happened until he heard the opposite party speak.
"You guys shouldn't have degraded Big Sis Iski."
