The man was confused with what he found out. 'Wasn't Han Meixiu married to Third Young Master Chen? How come she's also married to Liu Zijian?'
Upon further investigation, he found out that the two got married in K Country thus clearly, the woman wasn't in Q City and the 'marriage' with his master was clearly a fraud.
'Then who is the woman in the dark room? Does Master Chen know already that's why he never visited her ever since she was tied up there?' They were only ordered to feed her meals and in some cases 'subtly' torture her if she's getting loud or disobedient.
He didn't want to analyse further. He's getting uncomfortable the more he thought about it. He just needed to report his findings and wait for the next command.

Liu Zijian was on his way to the head office of Zhang Corporation when his brother called. After the short call ended he fell into a deep thought again as the car was slowly moving towards the main street.
He would drop by some words to the head of Zhang Family and then visit their main office as well. Since his parents were still in K Country, he didn't need to go back to their house.
He planned to take an evening flight to arrive around midnight in K Country. He knew that he would be exhausted by then but for some reason, he could peacefully sleep if Han Meixiu was around.
The morning meeting was cancelled as Zhang Yu prioritized Liu Zijian's visit. Although he was surprise by this sudden appointment, he's nonetheless curious.
He really didn't have interaction with the Second Young Master Liu since in most social gatherings he's present; it was Liu Zilong who always attended.
It was only during the wedding of his cousin, Han Meixiu, he was able to exchange few words with him but most of the time he was talking with Mr. Liu.
When his secretary announced that Liu Zijian arrived, he gracefully welcomed him.
"To whom should I owe your visit today? Did my cousin do something bad?"
Liu Zijian didn't answer but instead look at the man as if assessing his facial reaction.
"I know I'm good looking, you don't need to stare. It's rude you know." He chuckled as he teasingly spoke. But Liu Zijian didn't show any reaction.
He's used to being stared at by different types of people but being stared intently by a man like Liu Zijian it's somewhat uncomfortable. It was as if he's he committed a crime and being interrogated at the moment.
Second Young Master Liu sat down and Zhang took the seat opposite him. There was a silence and only the sound of the clock could be heard and the occasionally footsteps outside probably from the secretary. Both of their breathing was controlled and their eye contact didn't waver as both observed each other seemingly trying to discern what's on the other person's mind.
Zhang Yu broke the silence after a good couple of minutes. "You're here for something. Isn't that related to my cousin?" That's only the reason he could think of.
"Don't use her again. The next time you do, I won't settle with just a merely warning."
"Oh? I used her? How?" Zhang Yu amusingly asked.
"Just remember my words." Liu said calmly said as he stood up and went to the door. As he was about to turn the knob he heard Zhang Yu.
"I needed confirmation if you could really protect her. Plus I have to settle some old issues with the Han. Hitting two birds with one stone while borrowing someone's strength isn't a bad idea. I'm a business man after all, I need to maximize and efficiently use my resources." He responded. He didn't need to pretend and use some lame excuses. He just stated his reasons.
"You can't afford to offend me. There's no next time."
Before Zhang Yu could answer the sound of the door being slammed with a bang that almost all the employees around jolted in shock, echoed out loud.
The person was still lazily sitting on the sofa and smiling even after what Liu Zijian did. 'That was fast.'
He never thought that the Second Young Master Liu could act so swiftly. It was indeed a correct decision to marry Han Meixiu to him.
Liu Zijian wasn't someone he wanted to become his foe so his scheme involving him or his wife would most definitely be the first and the last.
It was just good that the old Han was easier to manipulate because of his greediness. With the Han Family impending collapse, his grandparents would congratulate him, wouldn't they?
His grandparents only have one daughter and they loved her dearly. It was just a shame she fell for someone who was a Han. A stubborn young woman who was blindly in love with someone she didn't deserve. She was treasured by the Zhang but was neglected by the Han.
He didn't know how much his aunt suffered but the pain on his grandparents face every time she was mentioned was inconceivable.
He met her few times when he visited his grandparents with his dad. It was when she already divorced her husband and there was already a cute little girl beside her. He remembered when he taught Han Meixiu to call him 'Cousin Yu'.
She was hesitant at first. But she said it eventually as she bit her lips after. He smiled dotingly.
Maybe because she was always alone in the Han Family's main house she didn't know how to communicate well. She always has her own world.
He would ask her to play but she would just look at him blankly. In the end they settled to just sitting side by side until the adults finished their talking.
He thought with their few times sitting together he would be a little closer. But he was wrong. After her mother left, she became even more distanced. She didn't leave her grandmother's side. She was like an attached accessory.
Han Meixiu, the only child of Zhang Huiling was especially close to the Old Zhangs. They repeatedly asked him to find a suitable man for her. Someone who would treasure her.
'I think he's the best choice.' Zhang told himself and he released a contented smile.
