บท 30: Arc 4.1 Queen Mother

Tian Xi woke up with immense pain in her stomach region. Opening her eyes, she saw that she had been impaled by a large piece of scrap metal that was more than 5 inches thick.

Her brows scrunched together tightly as she sat up and pulled open her wound even more.

"Fuck me...It can't possibly get any worse than this. First I died with an injury to my stomach, and now I woke up with one." Tian Xi wanted to cry but had no tears since she couldn't do anything about her two measly luck points at the moment.

She inhaled sharply as she pulled the large scrap metal out of her body without a care in the world as if she wasn't afraid of blood loss. In fact, something was telling her that it was okay to do such a normally self-harming act. Surprisingly, the area around her wound sizzled and the gaping hole in her stomach was filled and healed in less than a minute. What was even more of an eye-opener was the fact that her blood was yellow. Y.E.L.L.O.W!

Tian Xi gaped at the metal that she threw to the side; her blood seemed to be acidic since it was melting it slowly. It.was.melting.it.

Oh god. Am I still a human?! She quickly lifted her hands to observe them. Pale, thin white fingers. She sighed in relief. Thank god, I still have five beautiful fingers on each hand.

Her hair in this world was fiery red-orange and from her hazy reflection on the scrap metal that was deteriorating quickly, she could see that her eyes were a pale blue and she had a pair of enticing cherry-red lips. Her skin was flawless and soft like a newborn baby's, which was weird because she felt that this body should not have been so...perfect originally.

Her black clothes made of unknown webbed material were tight-fitting yet flexible with intricate glowing blue circular and linear designs trailing throughout.

The surroundings were futuristic with pristine white walls that were stained with red blood (presumably human) and the floor was transparent made of yet another unknown material as it did not dissolve like the metal did after coming into contact with her acidic blood. She could see from the other side of the floor that she was currently in outer space. The round metal door was presumably the source of the scrap metal that was embedded into her stomach when she first woke up as it was missing a large chunk of it and she could see that the hallway that it led to was in no better shape than the room she was currently in.

There was an overwhelming and thick stench of iron floating around, which was to be expected as there were numerous corpses of humans lying haphazardly everywhere within the enclosed space. Some of their chests were ripped apart, seemingly from the inside.

Tian Xi could feel another consciousness trying to overtake her own and it felt as if an ant were crawling around on and inside her brain, but she simply blinked and she could feel the foreign force withering away. Indifferent to what just happened, she told 001 to send her the mission and world details.

[Aye, host. Here you go.]

Suddenly, a screeching scream resounded in her mind when the other force completely disappeared, making her wince in pain as the memories of the body quickly flowed into her.

This was a Level 3 World.

It was year 2940 of the Martian calendar, almost 1000 years after the humans left the planet, Earth. They currently inhabited Mars, and because their technology permitted it they had ventured further out into space using starships, space jets, and mechs among many other things. In 2940, the military received orders from the top four families of both A-92 and B-418, the 1st and 2nd largest and prosperous colonies on Mars at the time.

They had lost contact with Starship 549, a vessel that was sent out secretly and covertly on a mission. The last message sent by the captain of the ship relayed the warning of the new and dangerous species that they had intended to import, requesting for help. The fleet's mission was originally to bring in the new species as experimental subjects, but it obviously backfired. These four families wanted to profit from the introduction of a possible new bioweapon, but they never considered the possibility of being unable to control it. Nevertheless, caring more for the profits because of their massive investment in the project rather than rescuing the crew responsible for the mission, the four families issued an order to send the most talented bunch to retrieve the goods from the drifting ship.

The original crew of Starship 549 consisted of imposing figures, but they were low-key and practically unknown to the general public so that their deaths would not have much of an impact if anything had gone wrong. Even some illegitimate children and branch members of the four families had been part of the fleet. However, they were mostly unwanted by the main branches. They did not underestimate the difficulty of the mission, rather their efforts were simply not enough. If they really underestimated the mission the top families would not have sent out the unrecognizable original members of Starship 549. They knew there would be deaths. Many deaths.

Anyway, despite their warnings to their own beloved and precious children to ignore the suicidal order, those rebellious yet prideful and righteous children still volunteered themselves to embark on the dangerous quest. Yes, the male lead and female lead of the world were both heirs to two of the top families, Nile Betelgeuse and Lily Rigel.

Due to their own sense of duty and righteousness they did not want to avoid the suicide mission just because it was "too dangerous" while letting their own subordinates and comrades go to their deaths knowingly. The two were engaged since young and were the golden couple of the galaxy. Even though they were engaged they never met or knew each other until they joined in on the mission. The fact that they both had the same reasons for joining in on this suicide trip showed that they were made for each other like the sun and the moon. It was also one of the main reasons they acknowledged and fell for each other.

They embarked heroically only to realize that the drifting Starship was more of a hell hole than they thought it was. Within the first four hours, their entire fleet of fifty talented and competent brothers and sisters in arms were reduced to a mere ten; of course, Nile and Lily were alive due to their protagonist halos. The second male lead, Duke Fomalhaut and his sister and Lily's best friend Taina, Mallory Deneb, Christopher Altair , Karl Bellatrix, Bruce Saiph, Winston (Winnie) Ophiuchi, and Ariel Pollux were the other eight surviving members.

Unknowingly to the rest of the team, during the short time frame that Nile had looked away from Lily, she was ambushed and lost her body and soul to the alien that then possessed her. She returned not as herself but as a queen of the aliens in disguise.

During the team's escape from aliens to their temporary base, the control room, they ran into three survivors. One was the beautiful redheaded young woman Alex Aldebaran, followed by Tyler Betelgeuse and Faust Fomalhaut; Nile's older illegitimate brother and Duke and Taina's distant cousin relatively.

These three were later revealed to be aliens. Tyler and Faust were Alex's royal guards. Although they were said to be aliens, all three of them were able to subdue the savage and primal instincts of the aliens within them, but not the...ahem... not the sexual instincts (A/N: ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)). Both Tyler and Faust had loved Alex for a long time as they all grew up together and their feelings only intensified due to the aliens inside them—with her being their precious Queen.

When both parties crossed paths in the hallway while running from a horde of aliens, Lily was automatically hostile to Alex who was also a queen of aliens and attempted to kill her, accusing her of being an alien. Tyler and Faust immediately backed Alex up claiming they never left each others' sights so that wasn't possible. Lily argued that they could all be aliens and were in it together.

Taina, as her best friend, believed her. Duke, as the second male lead, thought rationally but also considered the possibility of her claims to be quite high and that the three were no longer human. Nile who was biased due to his time with her during the mission believed in his fiancee and not his older brother, even though their relationship could even be said to have been quite nice and stable since Tyler never mistreated him nor coveted his position as the heir to the Betelgeuse family. Tyler was happy to be free to be with whoever he wanted and to do whatever he wanted. Nile was also known to have never mistreated Tyler for being illegitimate or for whatever evil deeds his step-mother did against him since Tyler always ended up cleaning up after her messes and prevented most of them himself. On the other hand, the Fomalhaut siblings were never close to their cousin because Faust was an introvert and rarely spoke to anyone. He was aloof to all, but he was actually very gentle and had a pure heart.

The most unreasonable and unrealistic part of the story was that they were still in the hallway and the aliens were hot on their tails. Nevertheless, they had all the time in the world to argue whether or not to let the three survivors join them without being killed. In the end, Tyler pleaded with Nile on the account of them being siblings to at least let them head in the same direction since it was the only direction they could run. He was visibly hurt that his brother didn't trust him over his fiancee that he only knew since they first embarked on the mission, but Tyler prioritized his two comrades' safety and didn't mention his sorrow. Even if he didn't mention it, Alex and Faust knew their friend well enough and only despised Lily more than they already did.

The two groups ended up splitting up; the group of three stayed in the room beside the control room. Lily kept trying to convince her team to kill the three others since it was better to be safe than sorry. She reasoned that it was impossible for the them to have survived since even their own unmatched and peerless legion of 50 was reduced to nothing in less than four hours, much less 20 days which was how long the Starship was under siege by the aliens. Other than that, their main goal was to bring back an egg and corpse of an alien so the people back home could experiment and whatnot.

Lily's team ultimately held off on killing the group of three since they seemed to know more about the ship as well as the creatures due to their time on the ship. They temporarily allowed them into their group after the three had helped them ward off some aliens that attacked them in the control room.

Alex, Tyler, and Faust were actually a thing. Slightly influenced by the queen in her, the original Alex had her eyes on the strongest of men to be the fathers of her children, and Nile filled the bar and even raised it completely. She already copulated with Tyler and Faust repeatedly ever since they first became aliens. Alex only started aiming for Nile when they were allowed into their team of ten and due to his powerful presence and aura that made it almost impossible for her to control the instincts that she released only for Tyler and Faust.

Alas, Lily who was also a queen except with the female lead halo and was destined to be with the male lead already mentally claimed both Nile and Duke as hers. She'd already become one with Duke when they had been left alone in the control room one day, but Nile was still untouched. Sensing a threat from Alex, she immediately enticed him and did the deed, finally officially claiming him.

When queens consummated with human husbands, the husbands would practically become enslaved due to their massive drop in IQ and do their every bidding. Tyler and Faust were not only no longer humans, but they had also overcome their alien instincts so they were above both lifeforms in terms of mental and physical strength. Lily had no use for them as they were exclusively loyal only to Alex.

Before anyone knew it, Lily already had her entire team--aside from the three girls whom she eventually killed--as her harem and they became her royal guards, overwhelming Alex and her two guards by numbers and protagonist halos.

Finally having gotten rid of the nuisance and becoming the Queen Mother of all of the aliens, Lily then completed the mission that they were sent to complete outstandingly by taking her own eggs and the three superior alien corpses back to B-418 along with her harem. They were all crowned as heroes while she officially married Nile, not neglecting to enlarge her harem and have numerous children, eventually taking over the entire Martian planet. They all lived happily ever after.

And who was Tian Xi this time around? Alex, of course! She woke up right when the queen had first invaded her mind. That bugging feeling she had earlier was the queen trying to take over, but of course our infallible protagonist blinked it off and successfully conquered her alien self even more efficiently than the original Alex did.

'My mission, 001.'

[Main Mission: Become the Queen Mother of the Aliens. Reward: 5000 points]

[Side Mission: Achieve Pair Title: Golden Couple of the Galaxy. Reward: 2500 points]

'Well, in this world it seems like I get my own little harem hehe,' Tian Xi giggle inwardly, waiting for her two loyal knights to show up so she could ogle them.

She totally did not forget that a couple means a pair and not a trio; and even more serious of a matter was that she seemed to have forgotten about her husband who follows her into every world!

Shameless husband, *winks* "You won't need a harem with me around, wife."

DISCLAIMER: I don't own the original concept of these aliens haha. It's inspired by the Aliens movie franchise. If you are a diehard fan of the movies, though, I deliberately changed some names and some of the ways the aliens attacked/functioned to meet my own needs.

บท 31: Arc 4.2 Queen Mother

The precise timing of her transmigration was the day the protagonist's team of elites received Starship 549's captain's SOS. The reason their team was suspicious of Alex's group survival was because it took them sixteen days to get to the ship, resulting in twenty total days of survival.

The attack by the aliens was unexpected and originated from within the ship rather than externally. One of the researchers was jealous of the supervisor in charge because he believed that he should have been the one in charge of the research team, and due to this resentment he decided to conduct an unauthorized operation on his own and made the careless mistake of neglecting to use an anesthetic to immobilize the test subject; an egg carrier type specimen labelled a facehugger.

Before he could react, the facehugger launched itself from the operation table and latched onto his face, injecting an egg into his body orally after rendering him unconscious with its paralyzing chemicals. After this short exchange of no longer than a few seconds, it returned to the container made of indestructible transparent glass-like irudisium* that it was held in before the researcher took it out.

When the researcher woke up next, he had no recollection of the attack and was naturally unaware of carrying the egg of the alien inside him. Since he wasn't supposed to be in the lab anyway, he cleaned everything properly leaving no traces of his presence. The facehugger only died after the egg inside him already hatched and the alien tore its way out of the researcher's chest so no one found out that the facehugger had been taken out of the container and already became an empty vessel awaiting its death.

If the egg had hatched while the researcher was around others, the tragedy would not have happened, and the baby alien would have been apprehended as another specimen to bring back to the colonies. Unfortunately, it hatched during resting time while he was alone in his room and no one was there to take it into custody. In fact, the moment it hatched it went into the vents and preyed on the small vermin that should not have been there and other sleeping defenseless cannon fodder humans.

Even as a child, these aliens were formidable predators with their inhuman speed and their acidic blood in addition to their small size of one foot tall. By the time the fleet's resting period of only two hours was over, it already killed more than half of the team of researchers and became a full-sized alien at a towering eight feet tall and fifteen feet long with its tail.

Knowing full well its own superior capabilities against the powerless and unsuspecting researchers it went on a killing spree whilst freeing its compatriots that were forced into hypersleep* through anesthetics and advanced technology.

These comrades consisted of facehuggers as well as other fully-grown aliens that the researchers termed as drones and warriors. By the time the vanguard, offense corps, and the captain of the starship were notified of the breakout, it had been three days and the entire research team had already been wiped out if they were not hosting new eggs.

Left with no other choice, the captain of the ship immediately quarantined the entire research department by lowering the walls in the hallways before relaying the dire situation back home.

While the reinforced metallic malunimium* walls were far from enough to withstand the destructive force of drones and warriors forever, it could temporarily hold them off. Unfortunately, luck was not on their side as the blockade collapsed and were shredded apart within a span of fifteen days while the meet-up point with the protagonist's team was still sixteen days away.

The fleet was only able to defend themselves and survive for twelve hours before being completely wiped out.

Alex, Tyler, and Faust were originally stationed in different departments; Faust was part of the logistics team, Tyler was the captain of the vanguard, and Alex was the scientist in charge of supervising and researching the alien specimens.

In short, Alex was the most knowledgeable about their alien predators. She was also a survivor who was locked inside the research block with the aliens since day three of the massacre.

Tyler and Faust were worried for her and asked for permission to send assistance, but their pleas were ignored and could only wait for the walls to fall.

Regrettably, by the time the aliens finally broke through their barricade, Alex had already been forced into a coma by a royal facehugger for the entirety of the quarantine and housed the alien queen within her body. When she woke up fifteen days later, instead of bursting through her chest violently like the typical drones and warriors, as a highly-intelligent lifeform it chose to stay within her body and possess it as its own using it as a camouflage against the humans.

Unexpectedly, Alex's mental strength was quite high as someone who had lived a harsh life as an unwanted legitimate child of the Aldebaran family and thrown into the underground society to work as their enslaved researcher where she met her two lifelong friends, Tyler and Faust. Those two were her only reasons for continuing to live and vice-versa.

Anyway, while she could resist the queen's attempt to overtake her consciousness, she couldn't get rid of it completely like Tian Xi did, so her hormones were off the charts after it settled down. The alien queen's purpose in life, after all was to rule over and to birth more aliens.

When the two men fought their way to Alex with the maximum number of weapons they could carry by hand and luggage while still retaining mobility, the sight they were met with was one where Alex was a bloody mess--yet strangely unharmed--seated in a room full of corpses with not a single alien in sight. Although they felt that the scene was definitely off, they were just happy that their most loved one was still alive.

However, since they were the only people in the universe she cared about, Alex told them that she was hosting one of the aliens in her body, hoping they would run or kill her because she didn't know if she could resist it forever.

Of course, because of their undying love for her, they rejected both options unhesitatingly.

As she was their queen, the other aliens stayed away from her whilst protecting her from the shadows. They inherently knew that she would somehow "take care" of the two humans beside her.

In the end, she kind of did, albeit unwillingly.

As stated before, her hormones were off the charts. That, in addition to the two men's own original lust for Alex was already enough to break down the walls of friendship between the three individuals. The longer they stayed together, the stronger their desire to do things that normal friends wouldn't do with each other.

Alex knew it was the alien inside her influencing all three of them, but they really couldn't resist and ended up performing the legendary threesome.

In the process, she injected them with her own eggs of her royal guards.

When the deed was finally complete, she instantly despaired and tried to kill herself only to find out that she couldn't because she was more alien than she was human, and the queen inside her didn't allow it. So, she could only wait to see her precious friends become aliens.

Thankfully for her, the royal guards were also highly-intelligent and chose not to tear open Tyler's and Faust's chests. Because of that, the two men were able to restrain them like Alex did to the queen.

They did not sleep for as long as she did and woke up in time to bump into the protagonist's team, kickstarting the plot of the original storyline.

As soon as Alex was finished going through the world and mission details, she heard footsteps approaching. They were cautious and quiet, but as an advanced lifeform Alex's hearing was magnified by tons and knew by the that they were two males--presumably Tyler and Faust.

When they stopped in the hallway just by the mutilated malunimium door, she knew they were hesitant and on guard because of the gruesome and gory surroundings along with the chilling silence that made the entire situation eerie.

Suddenly, one of them kicked the half-closed sad excuse of a door off of its hinge and rushed in with his gun, a pulse rifle* ready to fire at any enemy that could be waiting for them.

It was Tyler, and he was stunned as he instantly froze on the spot when his eyes landed on Alex's elegantly seated figure on the blood-stained floor as if she was waiting for them. The pupils in his blue-gray eyes constricted as he quickly lowered his gun and stood stupidly still in his place. His combat suit was white, but the circular and linear designs were blue like Alex's, complimenting his short gray hair.

Noticing the oddity, Faust spoke up with his gentle and mellow voice as he prodded Tyler on his pronounced shoulder blade. He walked out from behind the slightly taller man, his soft brown hair shifted a little as he did so.

"Tyler? What's--"

He froze with his mouth still slightly open from leaving his question incomplete upon seeing the girl he had been wanting to desperately hold in his arms for the past fifteen days. His pale jade eyes widening in pleasant surprise and relief.

*irudisium: glass-like material that is harder than diamonds and practically impenetrable by anything aside from the all-powerful aliens.

*malunimium: highest quality reinforced steel/metal in 2940 of the Martian calendar. Usually used as the main material for starships. Extremely heavy and dense despite its durability so it is not used for the mechs and jets.

*hypersleep: term taken directly from the Aliens franchise. Basically, a coma. Except apparently those who fall into hypersleep don't age even after 50+ years.

*pulse rifle: term taken directly from the Aliens franchise. It's a gun that shoots bullets like a shotgun.
