Xia Ning stopped her steps all of a sudden and turned around to see a man in a suit at the staircase. He was leaning against the banisters, staring at her.

She curled her lips a little. "My relationship with the Shen family is my business. I have no obligation to tell you."

Qiao Yu looked at Xia Ning. "I heard Shen Weiran was in a car accident. Why are you here?"

Xia Ning shrugged. "Of course, to visit her. She is my idol after all."

"But you are leaving before she wakes up." Qiao Yu stared at her. "Didn't you say she was your idol?"

Xia Ning curled her lips. "She's not conscious yet, but I can't wait for her here forever."

"Your mother is the younger daughter of the Shen family! So Shen Weiran is your aunt! But the Shen family never acknowledged your mother in front of others." Qiao Yu looked at Xia Ning. "Can you tell me why?"
