Eric chose to sit in a secluded corner of the café. He might have been acting a little paranoid, but he didn't want to be seen by many people. Even though no one in this café knew him.

Eric glanced at his wristwatch. Apparently, Xu Cheng and Huang Ying were late. Lateness was intolerable for someone like Eric, who had always put punctuality above all else.

Xu Cheng's voice came from the front door of the cafe. "Mom, hurry up!"

When he heard Xu Cheng's voice, Eric stood up immediately so that Xu Cheng could see him.

This was the first time Xu Cheng had seen Eric's face in days. Thrilled, she let go of Huang Ying's hand and ran off to Eric.
