บท 65: 10TH, 9TH, And 8TH
James looked at the envelope in his hand and then at the people in the crowd, he could see each and every one of them is eager for this list of ten people and they should be, this is a big deal, these ten students will come under everyone's eyes.
Every big family in the country will keep an eye on these ten names because these ten names might become the biggest power in the future of this country, these names may change but most of them will still be in power.
The whole area was buzzing with discussion about the ten names, eight of them which are already sitting in the front, all eyes are on them and they are also looking at each other because they also want to know who holds the 1st rank.
They all want the rank 1 position but they don't know the scale of this rank 1 position, is it closer to their limit, or is it totally out of their reach, they will only know once the final score is out.
The crowd waited in anticipation as they watched James take out the golden cards inside, each card seems to have only one name labeled with their rank on the side.
James also looked at the cards and stopped himself from looking at the last card, he really wanted to see if the person on the other end has broken his record.
In the history of the academy, he has had the highest score in the entrance exam and it was quite a huge accomplishment and people still talk about it even though it has been more than three years now.
He looked at the first name he saw on the card with the number 10 written before it, he smiled and looked at the front row of students.
"The first person of the top ten, ranking in the 10th position is Cristopher Velvont, he is 17 years old and is at Peak Fundamental level, with a massive score of 3009"
He said and clapped his hands, which was followed by another massive outburst of applause from the crowd, a young man wearing a very expensive purple velvet suit got up from the front row and bowed at the crowd behind him and then walked up the podium.
This young man has an average height for his age, he has long black hair and a very slim frame, the suit he is wearing makes him look like a very intelligent scholar.
Cristopher walked up the podium and was greeted by the beautiful senior student, she took his badge and handed him a golden Id card indicating that he is one of the top 10s of this year.
James also nodded at him with a smile and asked him to walk past and stand to the side, Cristopher Velvont walked in front of the three main people on the stage, the Principal, the Vice-Principal, and the Director, he bowed at them and walked away.
While this happened, at the back of the massive crowd, Zio and Selistia are looking at the current situation, while Zio still doesn't give a fuck about this, Selistia is a little concerned about her score.
She also wanted to score high but she doesn't know where she will be placed, her score is higher than 3000, now she just has to see if she is the next person or is there someone below her.
"Next person who will be that part of the top 10, ranking 9th place with the score of 3200 is Ben Britan, Peak Fundamental level"
Britan is also one of the royal family of the country and their standing is equal to the Velvont, Ben got up from his chair and walked up the podium.
When Selistia saw this person, she realized that she has seen him somewhere, then she remembered who this person is, he is also one of the students who were in their groups during the entrance exam, he was also one of those who went on their own, it was him Selistia and Zio who didn't join any group.
She smiled as she realized that she has a score higher than him.
The 17-year-old boy walked up the podium and collected his gold Id as well, he paid his respect to the Principal's ground and joined Cristopher on the sideline, they looked at each other with a smile but deep inside they are already building up a rivalry.
Their scores are not that far apart from each other and Velvont can overthrow Britan from his position and take over the 9th place.
James didn't stop and put the card behind and looked at the name who is 8th in the ranking, seeing the name he smiled.
"Next person to be the part of the top 10, ranking 8th with a score of 3890 is Selistia Fernandes, Peak Fundamental Level"
He called out Selistia's name and looked around to find her, back in the crowd when she heard her name, Selistia suddenly got up and walked out of the loser crowd and started to walk towards the Podium.
James who was looking around finally saw movement in the behind, he noticed that it was his sister, he smiled while looking at her, but he also wondered why she was sitting with the ones in the behind, he knows how his sister is, she would have never sat there unless she was sitting with someone else.
He looked at the seat from which she stood up and saw a young man sitting there with his eyes closed, he didn't know who this boy is and why is his sister sitting with him in the back where the ones who didn't qualify are sitting.
When the crowd realized that Selistia Fernandes is coming from behind, they turned their head and looked at her, they wondered why she was sitting behind but it didn't matter, all boys were looking at her and were lost in her beauty while the girls showed admiration and jealousy towards her.
Selistia noticed a lot of people are staring at her but she ignored them all and finally walked up to the podium.
