บท 30: Expedition
*A moments ago, while Lily is still on the slow train*
"CE, you home?" Jack, now portrayed as Madara [I'm calling him Jack cause madara is too long to type] is currently standing right in front of Child Emperor's lab, he had already told CE that he will visit him so he just need to call him out
'Is he not home....if he's not i'm gonna beat the sh...oh he's home' Jack immediately stopped his thought as he saw the little boy walking towards the door, wearing the same backpack he had wore months ago.
"Thought you will be late like before, 3 hours! I had to wait for 3 hours!" CE suddenly berated Jack, he had visited CE a few times before to see the progress of the necklace and in those few times, Jack was late at all of them.
"Don't be mad, lets go inside, i need to see the final product." Jack took CE's angry words like it was nothing as he lets himself inside CE's lab, leaving the fuming boy outside
CE quickly went inside as well as he closed the door and leads Jack to his lab, Jack has been here for a few times so he had pretty much memorized all the layout, except for the ones that CE didn't showed him.
"You sound so eager on taking it home today, something special tomorrow?" CE suddenly asks as they kept walking
"Kind of." Jack answered, he obviously didn't want to disclose any of his private information but as CE is still a child, he can't get the situation
"Who's the necklace for?" CE continued
Jack isn't really annoyed as he is just a kid but didn't really want to disclose any information, Jack remembered that he used Madara's persona to ask for Lily's information saying that she's his cousin.
"My cousin." Jack answered nonchalantly
"Oh."
"By the way, why do you always wear that backpack?" Jack took his turn to ask CE
"Most of the time, my body's not that strong, maybe just at the High A-Class standard but it's not enough so i always carry it for precautions if something happened." CE answered as the backpack opened itself and shows several, no, many types of weapon Jack had seen before.
"How do you fit all of the weapons into the backpack." Jack curiously asked
"How to explain this to you...hmm..." CE pondered for a while and from the tone he was talking in, Jack knew he underestimated Jack's intellect...and he's right, Jack's not that smart, not as smart at CE's standard at least..
"Its like i compressed them, shrinking their size and then when i want to use them, i revert them back to their original size, same for the spider legs you've seen before...yeah that's the dummy explanation." CE answered, Jack sweared he heard a hint of mocking in his voice but he can't really be mad at him.
"Anyway, we're here." CE opened the door by scanning his eyes onto the door and they both went in, inside, Jack could see the familiar huge white room.
Inside CE's lab contains a lot of varieties of weapons, shields and other miscellaneous items in the form of school items, some of them are pencils, erasers, umbrellas and many, many more
Though some of them had a unique appearance such as the prototype design of Okame-Chan that Jack had seen from the manga.
"Where is it?" Jack asked as he looked around the room for things he will use later on, he had found it interesting to mess with CE's 'school supply' ever since his first visit to the lab, he had even stole some of the items without CE knowing, or CE might just not care about the stuffs he stole.
Jack had in total stolen 3 items, the first item is a mechanical 0.5 pencil that can transform into a 1 meter long spear, a sharp one at that. The second item is an Eraser that can turn into a sticky puddle of glue to entrap his enemies though until now he never need to use it.
The last item is a water bottle that can shoots water with high pressure, making it a deadly mini cannon. Though Jack won't be using any of them items, probably ever, he like the design of it and therefore, stole it.
CE pressed some buttons on his i-pear pad and a steel pillar appeared from the bottom of the room with a blue box on top of the pillar, covered by thick glass. CE did things again and the glass dissolved into nothingness, surprising Jack.
CE took the box and hand it over to Jack, telling him to open it and give his thoughts.
Jack opened the box and inside he could see a moon shaped necklace with a crystal clear diamond hanging on the middle, if one look closely, one could see a luster of green on the side of the diamond.
Jack is content with the Necklace CE made especially for him and said his thanks.
"Its nice, thank you."
CE snorted and replied "No problem, but if you really want to say thank your, can you just return my items." Jack pretended like he had never heard CE's statement and thanked him once again
CE sighed, knowing that his items will be gone forever and shooed Jack away from his lab, though he shooed him away, CE still accompanied Jack to the door as Jack is a S-Class hero too. While they're walking towards the exit, CE slapped his forehead and said
"Oh, right, I forgot something, Madara, I know we've just met a couple months ago but i felt lik ei could trust you so i want to offer you something."
Jack tilted his head in confusion as he thought 'Well this is new.'. He wrecked his brain for a while and didn't seem to recall anything like this from the canon, Jack ponders for a while and is interested at the offer.
"Sure, tell me the offer." Jack said as they stopped their tracks
"I want to go on an expedition."
"Where" Jack asked
"Somewhere deep, way deep under K-City, I've been doing some research there and found a source metal, something very, very strong, something...out of this world and i want to try and take it." CE's face turned into a grim expression as he reveals his offer
"How do you know its from outer space?"
"For one, i found several, no, hundreds, maybe thousands readings of life there and do you know what shocks me the most?" CE somewhat shouted as he got into the last part, Jack shook his head and tell him to continue
"Inside the cave like structure, the temperature there is freezing cold, its at at least, AT LEAST -100 °C! That's not all, the life there could do their daily activities in that kind of temperature like it was nothing! And Then!" CE paused then continued for a bit
"If that is the only thing that is in between me and the precious metal, i can just make an item to resist the cold but no, the life there is crazy strong, by my calculations, the lowest of them all is at low demon level threat!"
Jack frowned at his statement, he never thought there would exist a lifeform inside earth, a strong one at that, if they somehow manage to get up into the surface of the earth, it's a 100% obliteration for mankind, except Saitama of course.
"What about the strongest, can you guess it?" Jack asked curiously
"The strongest that i know of is probably half as strong as the elder centipede that wrecked the earth a year ago, i wanted to explore more of the creatures but the 'strongest' destroyed my robot." CE said as he sighed
Jack then reminded CE about the dangers if they knew about the surface, they would most likely kill everyone on the surface of earth and take earth for themself!
CE knew about it but the metal he wanted to get didn't really concern the creatures there, he just accidentally discovers them while searching for other things, the metal and the creatures are pretty far apart so CE want to take the chance to take it without them noticing.
"Actually i didn't want to do this as i didn't know the full extent of the creatures power but if you joined, i may actually do it as you will be protecting me whilst i collect what i came for, the metals, if they suddenly appeared." CE said
"And if they didn't disturb us?" Jack said while raising an eyebrow
"Our good luck i guess." CE smiled wryly as he asks once again for Jack's answer to the expedition.
"What will i get if i join."
CE thought for a while, pretending to stroke his beard even though he had none
"How about this, i will make anything for you using 1/5th of the metal that we got from the expedition?" CE offered
"1/4th" Jack offered back
"No! That's too much...how about i set up some conditions..."

*8 hours later*
Jack had finally left CE's home, carrying 2 gifts for Lily in his pocket while recounting the offer he had made with CE which he accepts
the conditions are that
1. Jack will get at least 1/5th of the metal they manage to get from the expedition provided that he had done his job properly
2. Child Emperor will make whatever Jack wants with the metal Jack gained as long as Jack provided the remaining materials
3. If a monster appeared and attacked them, Jack will receive more metal based on how strong it is, if a demon level monster attacks, Jack will get 1% of the metal they earned, for dragon level monster attacks, Jack will get and additional 10% of the metal, if a God Level monster appeared which is very unlikely, Jack will get 50%.
4. Items needed for the expeditions is provided fully by Child Emperor
5. In the unlikely event that they gained nothing from the expedition, Child Emperor will still make 1 item to compensate Jack's wasted time, provided that Jack provides the materials himself
These 5 rules are the most important that Jack remembered, he knew there are a lot more but he didn't bother to memorize them as they didn't affect him that much.
CE said that the expedition will start 1 month later which is 14th of June so Jack knew he need to spend as much time as he can preparing for the journey whist spending his time with Lily, he of course wouldn't bring Lily for several obvious reasons.
Jack calculated that it will take at least 2 months of his time to finish he expedition, 2 months without Lily.
