บท 3: Who are you!? ( Part 2 )
We sat up talking and laughing about almost anything for hours at the park.
"Hey. You know what? I think I want to become a marine biologist. It seems so cool. How about you? "
Marine biology huh.
At least she knows what she wants to do. I said to myself.
" To be honest.. I don't know.. Maybe I'll be a doctor? I still haven't - - "
I saw a couple behind a tree. It was almost like the couple was staring at us..
Who are they? Why did they look so familiar ?
Jenny looked at me , confused , wondering why I stopped talking all of a sudden.
"Jenny. Look."
I pointed towards them and nodded at Jenny signalling her to come with me to check who's staring.
I realised that they started walking towards us..
They looked so similar...
As if I had met them before..
But how was that even possible...
Who were they?
I saw that Jenny was looking at me probably wondering who they were too..
"Who are you guys? "
I spoke up to break the ice.
The woman looked at me and hugged me all of a sudden..
"Stacy!" She said. While the Man smiled.
I broke out of the hug and stood near Jenny..
That was creepy! Who are they? They're strange!
" Thank goodness! You are safe!"
They said looking at me.
Safe? What are the talking about? I wondered.
"I probably know what you are thinking.. I know we owe you an explanation.. but we can't.. not here. Will you please come with me?" The woman spoke to us.
I looked at the Jenny.
And we nodded in agreement.
" Alright .. we'll come —"
"The girls are not going anywhere with you. " I heard a familiar voice interrupt my response.
Nate.
"Nate! You are finally here!! "
Jenny exclaimed.
"Yup. And just in time I would say " He replied as he smiled at both of us but his smile disappeared and a serious expression came on his face when the man spoke , " We mean you no harm. Please trust us. "
Nate looked up to them and said " And why exactly should we trust you? "
"Nate... I think we should..." I announced. Somehow I just couldn't ignore the feeling of familiarity. Their eyes were sincere and I felt like I should trust them..
"But Stacy.. " Nate argued but eventually gave up and said " Fine. My house."
And so we walked towards Nate's house with lots of questions in our mind.
