บท 16: A PATH OF RETREAT
"Prepare the Spirit canon. let them face the wrath of the Usman clan." Vespa had an excited look on his face.
Vespa is a man who loves fighting more than anything. He loves to collect merits and glory from the battlefield. He is a true man whose ambition laid in the battlefield. He loves the fame, glory and women that came from the battlefield. The eyes of folks when he returns from a war. The respect in their eyes as they chant his name. He yearned for that moment to last forever.
He was recalled from the battlefield in the nothern side by the clan leader. He was bored and had nothing to do in the clan's house. He spends all his time whoring and drinking. When he heard about the happy gang and their influence on the outer skirts, and how they are becoming a threat to the Usman clan's influence. He decided to take care of them.
He treated the Outer skirts as the battlefield and started making his plans. As an experienced general, he always knew that before making a move always gather as much information as possible about the enemies. He ordered spies to infiltrate the gang and to collect any information about the gang.
He laid multiple traps for the gang however they were always one step ahead of him.
" Finally after months of planning. We are facing off against each other." said Vespa.
Vespa armed his men with spears, shields and bows. He arranged them in three lines. Those with the shield on the first line, the spearmen on the second line and the bowmen on the third line. Every line is roughly made up of 20 men. The rest of the 100 men were stationed on both spirit canons that are all the way on the back.
'BAAM' Another round of the Spirit canon was shot. 'SHIELD ARROW' the bartender protected the courageous men. " I am wasting too much energy on this."
Another enforcer was killed by Keiser's sword. He was deep inside the enemies line making his way towards Vespa.
"Gravity man and Dragon, Can you guys deal with the Spirit canon. Don't destroy them but hijack them and use it on the enemies. Let's dwindle down their numbers. We can not afford to lose anymore men." His face was drenched in sweat. The bartender was using too much soul power.
"That will be easy." Roho decreased the gravity upon him and leaped up towards the left spirit canon.
"Of course." The Dragon shadow wrapped and appeared on top of the right canon.
One strike of Vespa's mace and five men fell. "WEAK WEAK WEAK. Where is the strong ones at?" Vespa looked around and he noticed the bartender, Roho and Ark.
"Don't let them destroy the canons. protect it at all Cost." Vespa dashed as he went towards Roho.
He didn't make it far before he was stopped by a sword made of light, However the blade was so red. One would think it was a sword carved from blood.
Vespa blocked the sword, however he was pushed back several steps.
'Where do you think you are going?" Keiser exchanged several blows with him within a second.
Both jumped back and retreated several steps away from each other.
"Who are you? I don't recall any information about you?" said Vespa.
"I am Keiser, the future emperor of the world. nice to get acquainted with you." Keiser released several light sword beams towards the enemy.
Vespa didn't even block or dodge the slashes. The winds were surrounding his body acting as a defence barrier. " As if those weak slashes could get through my defences."
" let me teach you how a proper attack is done. emperor boy." Vespa laughed and lifted his mace surrounding it with the wind. It felt like a suction force. sucking in all the air that was around. He then swung his mace downwards, sending all the force of the wind towards Keiser. All this happened within seconds.
Keiser couldn't dodge it in time. The wind pressure was too strong. It lifted him from the ground, slammed him back to the ground and rolled him all the way back to Mamas Restaurnant. He surrounded his body with the light, reducing the damage as much as he could.
Keiser rolled as he smashed on the tables and chairs. He used one of the broken chairs as a support when he stood up. He shaked his head and spat blood. "He is really strong. I have to get serious."
'LIGHT SWORD....' "Wait you damn monkey." said mama as she pulled keiser back.
"What? am kind of in the middle of a fight right now. Can you let go of my coat?" said keiser as he looked at Mama.
"Sorry but we have something to tell you." Mama looked anxious.
"Young Siris, we know you are fighting for the sake of the people of this town. However, these people are not soldiers. Look, How the enforcers are killing them off like flies. We have already lost a lot of lives." Jerry was gasping for breath somehow and he wasn't involved in any of the battles.
Keiser gazed at the battlefield with his deep brown eyes and said, " what do you have in mind then? Because even if we never fought them. They had plans to kill the people of poor town regardless."
"I am glad you understand. No one can be blamed for this except for the Usman clan. There is a portal at the back door of the restaurant. it is not as stable and it will take us to the magical forest of congolene. A dangerous place but atleast we can survive there." Jerry continued as he said." I am going to order the people of poor town to retreat towards the restaurnant and into the portal. Tell you siris friends to cover them untill they all go through the portal. Make sure to keep Vespa busy."
Keiser really wanted to end the battle quicker in order to save as much life as he can. However nothing goes as planned. He blamed himself for the deaths on the battlefield. He promised himself that he will make sure to make a reality, the future they died fighting for .
