Rong Jian grudgingly sat down, hugging his knees, his back still facing her.

"Oh stop sulking already. It wasn't that big of a deal." she said, biting into her bread. 'I want to say "a grown man like you making such a big deal out of something like this is unsightly" but...that'd just be toxic masculinity wouldn't it?' She was conscious about saying things that would poison the mindset of those she held dear.

"Hmph. Wifey laughed at me, how mean." Rong Jian puffed out, still not even looking at her.

"Since when was I a nice person? Besides, like I said, it wasn't anything big so stop being angry okay? I'll give you some meat okay?" Shen Tianyu tried to coax him with food like a child.

"...Fine." And it actually worked. He turned around and held out his hand to receive the meat promised. And, keeping her word, Shen Tianyu reached into her bag and took out some meat for him.
