Sung Ming and Mu Shenchou looked at each other. "How should we go about this?" Mu Shenchou asked.
"Don't worry too much. I can deal with it." Shen Tianyu replied.
Sung Ming furrowed his brows. "But, Miss..."
"Enough. I will deal with it. Now, since I've finished the report, I should go back to my room. The damn bastard disturbed me as I was cultivating." Shen Tianyu flicked her sleeves and left the office, walking back to her room.
Sung Ming and Mu Shenchou looked at each other again. 'This Miss of theirs seems excited...' They both shared this thought and prepared to light candles for the Wen family in their hearts.
When she got back to her room, Shen Tianyu once again entered her space. She entered Wind Shrine and went up to the couch, she then picked up the scroll and sat there in a lotus position, putting the scroll in her lap. She began sorting out the information she had gotten from the scroll before rushing to help Su Yuan. When she finished, she realized it was mostly about how her space worked with the rest being about the Wind Shrine. There actually wasn't that much information given to her. The summary is: She is the owner of this space, called the Dark Dimension. It is a place containing great power, and the powers of the space will be unlocked for her use as she advances in cultivation. The Wind Shrine's element, as suggested by the name, represents the element of Wind. When it is unlocked, she will be able to access more powers based on wind.
After organizing her information, Shen Tianyu started to cultivate.
Though the area of the Red Light District wasn't particularly rich in spiritual energy, her space was.
...
The next afternoon
After a night and morning of cultivating in her space, she managed to reach Level 2 of Qi Condensation. Thinking, her progress was slow, she decided to stop. Certainly, for her, this progress is slow. However, other people would not be able to breakthrough to the second level with in a two weeks of entering Qi Condensation stage, ah! It would take, at least half a year, for even the princes to achieve what she had just achieved in two weeks!
'I thought my space was my cheat, but my progress is slower than other protagonist of cultivation stories I've read. Sigh. I feel disappointed.' She thought as she got up.
After taking a shower and donning a white robe with a red skirt, she made her way down to the office. Seeing Sung Ming and Mu Shenchou there, she closed the door, sat down and started discussing what she couldn't do to the Wen family and Wen Ruocheng, face is important and they can't be too petty. After about half a shichen of discussion, the basic and only rule was: Don't get unrelated parties involved.
She was the owner of the Lavender Palace after all, it would make them look bad in front of the Former Master if they restricted her too much. Not to mention, with Lavender Palace's power, they could overthrow the Emperor, much less destroy a ministerial family, they also needed to show that the Palace has not declined in power, otherwise, other youngsters might try the same so, why hold her back? In any case, the only reason Lavender Palace has not become a controller of imperial power, in other words the true power behind imperial power and the like, is only because the Palace Master is not interested in it and has made a public declaration of this when rumors began circulating that the imperial power might be overthrown. Naturally, the Emperor had to give three inches (1) in consideration of that, since the Palace Master could always change his mind if he decided that he would not tolerate the Emperor any longer.
Mu Shenchou then posed a question to her: "Are you planning to do it today?
"Of course not." Shen Tianyu replied. "I still have to prepare for my debut tonight. I'll go when I have some time. It's also better to debut first, because then I'll have another identity aside from the 'trash Miss of the Shen Estate'."
"You're the Master, you decide. But it's better to do it sooner than later, less people forget and think you are merely throwing a tantrum."
"Obviously." Shen Tianyu rolled her eyes. "I'm not stupid."
She then got up from the bench. "Well, since we're done here, I'm going to the back mountain."
"What for?" Sung Ming asked with a slight frown. He didn't want anything to happen to her.
"To cultivate, duh. What do you think I'd be doing? Kissing a tree?" (2) Shen Tianyu responded with a look as if looking at an idiot.
"Guh..." Sung Ming choked on hearing her words and seeing her face. 'I was merely worried, why are you insulting me?' He cried in his heart. Although he thought that, his words definitely did not give that impression.
"Ahem." Mu Shenchou coughed. "I think he meant to ask if you need a guard to grow with you."
Sung Ming looked at him with grateful eyes. 'Nice save!'
"No need." Shen Tianyu responded as she walked out of the room.
...
At the back mountain
This was the mountain she was supposed to be at for four years, the one with the many spiritual beasts she was sent to by Shen Chiang. Part of the reason there are so many powerful spiritual beasts here was that it was much richer in spiritual energy than the city. However, even though noble-children and such want to cultivate here, not many could because of the powerful spiritual beasts roaming the forest. In fact, Shen Tianyu was probably the only one who dared to go there to cultivate a second time, without any guards to boot.
Others might call her foolish, but Shen Tianyu wasn't worried. She walked through the woods to her shed on alert. When she arrived, she made sure no human was around before she entered. She made herself comfortable and sat down on the ground to begin cultivating.
Her coming to the forest was not because she was fearless or anything, it was because she had done something to the shed a long time ago.
1: I tried translating the chinese saying that you sometimes hear. For those that don't get it, it basically means, the Emperor has to give her face?
2: I wanted to write something more... "extreme" but that's not appropriate for my PG audience rating so... Hopefully, this is.
Ahahaha. I had to last minute an essay yesterday and now I have a rough draft of a research paper due 3 days from now and I barely started research yesterday. *cries* Save me.
