Will from the very beginning never intended to shift the blame to anybody else. He knew what could happen if he broke through the Time and Space barrier.

Because he believes that by seeing the future, he could balance the two out. 

He believes that the future holds a much bigger threat than what they think and he is proven right by the scenes he saw.

And he actually has a countermeasure against the Multiversal Convergence. 

He thought that if they go to the future, he would then return back only a few seconds after they left. 

But there were too many distractions along the way and so many unexpected things happened, thing that he could not predict or even anticipate.
