[In Jeff's point of view]

The smile vanished from his face the second I told him.
"What are you trying to say?!" He asked.
His usual warmth towards me went faster than a brand new car on an asphalt. His eyes went narrowed, rigid, cold and hard.
"I.. I... I am responsible for Sav's pregnancy."
I forced the words out again.
"You did what?!" He shouted.
I watched as he fought against the temptation of hitting me. He turned around and walked to and fro his back facing me.
When he turned at last to face me, he still had that stillness in his eyes.
Now, I was the enemy. In just split seconds, I went from a hero who saved the life of his daughter to an imbecile who had destroyed his daughter's life.
He couldn't even look at me in the eye. Even his focus was somewhere on the ambulance behind me, as if I had become invisible to him or he could not bare to see me at all.
I'd crossed some invisible line and offended his sensibilities. I have messed with the only chance his daughter had to making something out of herself. Now her life would be on halt. All her dreams shuttered.
He believed he had everything under control. That he had done a great job as a single father in raising a daughter and there I stood telling to his face that he failed miserably in doing that.
He finally looked at me in the eye as he twisted the wedding ring on his finger. The ring he had refused to take off ever since his wife died.
I drew in a deep breath. I knew the burning hard stare would last only as long as it took him to think of the most brutally thing he could tear me down with.
And after he was done, I could kiss anything breakable goodbye. Which I knew was going just be my nose since there weren't anything he could hit me with at the parking lot.
A final glance at his furious eyes confirmed my possible outcome. He was going to kill me.
" 'At least you've got Savannah.' That was exactly the words I told myself when I lost my wife... " He paused and took a glace at the ring then back at me this time looking more sad than angry.
"...I stood there and watched as they brought my wife out of the car in pieces. Seconds later, my daughter was also brought out. Right then, I thought my world had come to an end. Both my wife and daughter gone on the same day. I didn't know how I was going to live with that horrible ordeal then I heard one paramedic shout 'she's alive!'. All my pain went away all of a sudden. Do you know why?..." he asked, paused as if he was waiting for an answer to the question but I couldn't say a word.
All I did was stare at him.
"I believed I had been given a second chance with my daughter. I believed God had given me another time with her to make right anything I might have done wrong in the past. I made a promise to my wife I was going to do everything I can to make her___"
An approaching footsteps clip-clopped down the the parking lot interrupting what Mr. Reginald was saying.
It was Adobi. Her footsteps echoed sharply around the silence that presided over the parking lot.
Seconds after, the clattering noise came to a halt, she looked at us with worry dwelling on her face.
"She's gone..." She said.
"G..gone? Gone where?" Mr. Reginald asked.
"She's not in her room and she can't be seen anywhere in the hospital either. The__"
"__how's that even possible? You were with her right?" I asked.
"I went to get coffee after you left but I came back to see the nurses rush into her room. I thought she had passed away but they told me she was rather missing and she couldn't be found anywhere in the hospital." She explained.
Just before any of us could say another word, a nurses rushed out from the hospital and walked over to us and confirmed what Adobi had told us.
"No need to panic. We have called for the police and they are on their way. She couldn't have gone far. She's not that well. We will find her." The nurse said.
When the police arrived, they had a look at the security footage in and outside the hospital and found out how she escaped and where she passed.
"Don't anyone of you have any idea where she could possibly be going to?" The detective asked.
I ran through the list of places she could ran to in my mind, checking off the ones I thought wouldn't be helpful.
"The school maybe?" I said.
"We have contacted the school and they've had a look at security cameras she hasn't gone there."
That was my only hope of possibly finding Sav.
If she isn't there then I don't know where else she could be. I thought.
"Alright, we will go and search for her but you have to go back to the school and wait. In case she comes back there give us a call." He said and looked at Mr. Reginald who through it all hadn't said more than twenty words. I felt sorry for him.
"Could you come with us sir? " he added.
Adobi turned to me when they left.
"I am so sorry Jeff."
Her eyes shifted to the side and became glazed with layer of tears.
"I thought she was.... "
Her lower lip quivered as the words slowly made their way out of her mouth.
"Its not your fault dear. Calm down. They will find her." I said, not sounding assuring myself.

Where do you think Sav has run off to? How do you think she escaped in the first place? And do you think she would ever be found?
