บท 15: Episode 13
[In sav's point of view]

Excessive Pain? Checked. Blood?Checked. Yes that's so typical of a 'first time' right?
Growing up, I've always been afraid of the first time. They made it so scary that I vowed not to try it ever but when I did with Jeff, I was glad I did.
As ladies, popping the cherry for most of us was supposed to be a pretty special event for us especially when it was with the right person.
First times were meant to be memorable and mine was. I forgot about the blood and pain. What mattered most to me was that I enjoyed it. For the first time in many years, I knew I had done the right thing.
I was more than happy the next morning. It was as if that morning was different from all other mornings I had experienced.
I had gotten heightened senses and my sight were far better than the previous days. Everything looked just beautiful. The air smelled right and the chirping of the birds were more melodious than ever.
I simply felt alive that morning that I forgot I had a pretty difficult exam to write.
I saw Adobi in a distance as I walked to the examination hall.
"Adobi!" I shouted and waved at her.
I doubled my steps to catch up with her.
Her eyes widened when she saw me. It was as if she had seen a ghost except this ghost wore a beaming face. The happiest she'd ever seen me.
"What is that look on your face?" I asked when I got to where she stood.
"Where were you last night?" She slammed the question at me the second I got there.
"What?" I said in a roguish manner and walked past her pretending I didn't hear what she was talking about.
"You weren't in the room when I was about to sleep last night and when I woke up this morning too, you weren't there and this could mean only one thing. So where were you last night?"
I stopped and looked at her face not knowing what to say. All I did was smile.
"I'm serious here Sav! So stop smiling unnecessarily and answer me!"
"Well I went over to Jeff's..."
"You did what?!" she shouted bringing everyone's attention to us. I held her hand and pulled her into the exams hall before she could bring more attention to us.
"Shush, people are around. I don't wan__"
"__You guys didn't do it. Did you?" she chipped in.
"What do you think?" I replied shifting my gaze to my phone and smiling coyly.
"Oh my goodness Sav. You did it?"
She asked and pushed her chair closer to mine then I knew she was going to do her thing again.
"How was it?"
"Was it painful?"
"Did you see blood?"
"Did you enjoy it?"
"Did you guys use protection?"
She went on and on and ignored all her questions until the last one hit me. It felt like someone had thrown cold water on face making me sober from whatever delusion I was trapped in.
Did you guys use protection?
It replayed in my mind over and over again like how a song gets stuck in your head when you hear it for the first but this time, the feeling wasn't as nice.
I shrugged off the odd feeling and replied her.
"Seriously? Relax Adobi... It's awkward you are asking these questions but anyways it's almost time for the exams. I will give you the entire juicy gist when we are done." I assured her and let out a faint smile still thinking about her question.
"Get ready for the exam." the lecturer shouted from across the room.
Adobi pushed her chair back to its original position.
The exam begun shortly after.
After two hours and thirty minutes, we were done with it. I told Adobi about everything that happened between Jeff and I as we walked back to the hostel.
Usually, we would talk about the exam we wrote till we reach the room but this time around, Jeff and I were was the topic for the day.
Adobi was so happy for me but I couldn't say the same anymore. Not after the question she had asked me earlier.
Something in me told me things weren't right.
I texted Jeff immediately we reached the room. I wanted to be sure that nothing would happen since it was my first time and we didn't use protection.
ME: Hey Charming...sup
JEFF: ...we are now dressing up since we had training earlier.
ME: Oh ok.....
JEFF: Why what's up? Is anything the problem?
ME: Nothing. Just wanted to check up on you.
I decided against asking him about it. I felt awkward talking to him about it. So I didn't. Perhaps I had to find out about it myself.
JEFF: OK that's so thoughtful of you.😘 but your guy ain't getting himself into any trouble if that's what you are wondering 😉
His reply made me laugh.
ME: Lol no.. 😂
I trust you. You can take good care of yourself.
JEFF: BTW Are you sure you don't wanna come to the party with me next week? 🙅 This is the biggest part of the year Sav.
ME: I'm sorry charming but you know how I feel about parties.
JEFF: OK forget about the party part. How about you come help me celebrate our big win?😉😄 it wouldn't be that bad.
ME: Lol good call but you know I still find the whole celebrating the win of a game you haven't played YET still funny right. 😂
JEFF: Haha. You shouldn't dear because we know we are going to win the match. Be proud your school has the best basketball team in the region.😉
ME: OK sure but You don't worry about me. I will be OK here. Enjoy yourself charming.
JEFF: Are you sure?
ME: Definitely. I will be texting or calling you every now and then for updates.
JEFF: OK cherry. Have a great night. Love you.😘😘
ME: Love you too.😘😘
I placed the phone down and let out a sigh.
"What is it again ma'am?" Adobi asked as she walked in from the kitchen holding a bowl noodles.
"What is what again?" I pretended.
"I saw you sigh. What is wrong? Everything alright with you and Jeff?"
"Obviously....yes... It's just that I feel bad for turning down his offer to attend the party with him."
"You did what? You need to loosen up young lady. Having fun once in a while will not kill you Sav. Besides there are always hungry hawks around in these kinda parties waiting to pounce on any lone baby hen whenever there's a chance. If you know what I mean." She placed the noodles down and looked at me.
"You better be careful dear." She added.
I sat there in silence and let Adobi's supposed words of wisdom sink in.
Then she interrupted my thoughts.
"What lie did you tell him for him to believe you can't really go?" she asked.
"I told him I had plans with you... That we have to pack our things for our trip back home."
"You did what? Well I don't see any of it happening anymore so put it in your mind that we will go to the partyyy." She said mimicking a happy feet dance.
I guffawed and walked over to the kitchen to get myself some noodles.
