The door of the gymnasium is shut tight without any kind of way to pry it open unless you remove the door themselves by breaking it though I doubt that is enough to destroy it. Prints of blood and some dried flesh are clumping on the ground and walls in front of the gymnasium meaning there was indeed a fight here with the humans and the dead every night.
