บท 9: Hunting (Part 1)
Alvin's expression changed when he saw the amount of experience points he received.
"Only 10 experience points? Doesn't that mean I have to kill at least 10 of such monsters before I can get to level 1?" Alvin could sense a headache coming.
One had to know that this kind of beast can't be found everywhere on this island. he would have to carefully search for some time before finding such beasts. With his strength, the highest level of beasts he currently could handle is Level 1.
Even though it looked like he had easily dispatched this beast, that wasn't the case at all. He had to be on high alert and exert his spirit to the limit. Doing this is also very tiring. If he is unlucky enough to bump into a higher leveled beast, that would be trouble.

He once again stood up and walked back to the forest to continue his hunt. This time, it took him a whole one hour before he found a Level 0 Delicate Tooth Rabbit. This was the weakest animal on the food chain on this Island and even that had higher attributes than him.

After searching for another three hours, he was able to kill another Level 1 ranked beast and also 2 level 0 beasts. His experience points had now raked up to 35! During this time, whenever he felt tired, he would look or a relatively safe place to rest and take out some of the meat the he had cooked to recover.
On one of his searching rounds, Alvin suddenly made an astonishing discovery. Something he never thought he would meet in this world. He discovered a high grade wondrous medicine, a blood patterned mushroom!
This medicine was very popular in his previous world as it could improve the constitution of anyone who ate it. But this medicine was very rare and expensive. Even with his strength and status in his former life, Alvin never had the chance to taste it so he was quite surprised to see it here.
Alvin was now looking at the blood patterned mushroom.
If he took that blood patterned mushroom, not only will it significantly increase his vitality, it could even increase his strength.
However, Alvin frowned, the Blood patterned mushroom is an extremely valuable medical ingredient, how come there is no fierce guardian beast?

Alvin did not hesitate, he immediately arced his right arm in a position where he could exert the most strength and targeted the eyes of the leopard. Because of this, it allowed him to release another two stones at the Leopard. This time, it couldn't avoid all two projectiles.

Blood spattered as one of the stones accurately landed on the Leopards left eye completely blinding one of its eyes.
