"The Empress arrives!" 

Upon hearing who had arrived at Ping An palace, Mei Fang could feel her entire body tense up. She gritted her teeth as she glared at the young lady dressed in red.

…You're still trying to win over the Emperor's favour!? Ahh!

…Was taking her son away not enough for her!? 

…You witch!

Emperor Yang Long's hand that was holding onto his teacup was halted mid-air. He glanced at the arrival of the Empress through the hot steam of his tea. 

From a distance, the Empress' silhouette was blurry. As she slowly walked in, her red dress flowed on top of the floor; making her look like she was floating in the air.

The steam from his hot tea was blown away when she arrived across the table. His sight was no longer blurry and he could finally see her clearly.

On the other hand, Hui Lan hadn't given her attention to anyone else but the Emperor.

Their eyes were instantly locked on each other.
