Suddenly thunder and lightning spots appeared, forming numerous lightning bolts the size of colosseum pillars, striking at the ethereal blue lotus.
Seemingly detecting this danger, a light blue barrier formed around the lotus and spread around it.

"Dammit, it actually cultivated Heavenly Qi, what the hell are those lunatics from the System Runes division thinking. F*ck, I even had to interrupt my cultivation for this!`` Came a warm but rough voice.
The sky warped as a lean silhouette voicing its complaints appeared. The figure was only wearing black trousers. His sturdy and evenly-distributed muscles were shimmering faintly under the sunlight.
As he moved, two streams of sparkling water followed the movements of his long drenched hair. The amount of sunlight was just right. When this young man's face appeared it was like heaven was smiling down on him, as sunlight danced beautifully around him. It was like a young celestial being had arrived.
The figure looking down at the lotus in the barrier frowned in annoyance and confusion. His eyes glowed golden as he activated his qi and circulated it into his eyes.
"It actually deviated this much off track, what the hell were those lot thinking, instead of creating something useful they're always thinking of ways to replace people."
"Humph, when I report this back, watch how they'll get their budget cut. They actually tried to encroach on the Underworld Division. Crazy bastards!"
Rotating his qi from his eyes into his palm, the young celestial raised his palm and stuck out.
The sky rippled as a result of the palm strikes shockwaves.
Amid the rumbling shockwaves, several lightning spots flickered. Another coarse bolt of lightning struck!
Being struck by the bolt of lightning, the lotus, hovering mid-air, dropped by 30 feet before it managed to stabilize its barrier and block most of the lightning that struck it. Several bolts of lightning however had managed to sneak through its barrier and strike some of its lotus petals. The edges of lotus were charred with golden qi, replacing its original ethereal blue colour.
This time, it had sustained injuries.
But despite this, looking down at the lotus wisp the young celestial's frown deepened. "It actually survived, how embarrassing. Seems I need to work on my Tribulation Lightning Palm after I break through."
"Let's see if you survive this one!" He said, as he swung his palm downwards towards the lotus wisp.
32 lightning golden qi spots flared at the same time. Countless silver snakes and electric serpents danced madly in the sky, condensing into three huge horizontal lightning pillars in the vortex. In a bright flash, they ferociously dropped down toward the lotus!
There was only a sea of lightning in the space between Heaven and Earth.
At the border of the mortal world, divine lightning purified the world!

He had taken another step forward on Heaven's Path!
With this he could apply to the inner sect! He had to grab hold of this opportunity and rush back for his promotion!
Waving his hand he created a tear in space and was about to warp through before suddenly remembering something.
Oh wait, the lotus, he had to first finish dealing with the rogue system!
The celestial turned back and swept his arm forward, drawing in the charred remains of the lotus, as the lotus landed in his hand. It transformed into a board of wood with a myriad of runes carved on them.
Quickly flickering his gaze over it, he nodded with contentment and stuffed it into his pocket before disappearing through the portal he had created.
Unbeknownst to him and the ignorant mortal world below, in those split seconds in which he had split his attention away from the lotus wisp
Two small petals had fallen from the lotus, diffused into heavenly qi and set out for their targets in the mortal world below.
