Su Yu was Shen Mingxi's best friend. They had fallen out because of Huo Mian, but later Shen Mingxi realized he was used by Huo Yanyan and atoned for his mistake.

For the sake of their childhood friendship, Su Yu had forgiven him.

In the latest incident, Shen Mingxi was treated unfairly when he was beaten by Wei Liao after saving Wei Ying. 

Su Yu had seen Shen Mingxi's frustration.

"I don't think it's a good idea."

"Why?" 

Su Yu was surprised. He had thought everyone wanted to see Wei Ying and Shen Mingxi get back together, but Huo Mian seemed to have a different opinion.
