บท 14: Capital
Amaris was confused the entire duration of the trip. She didn't know if she should be afraid of the two men or just go along with it.
After all, they did come from the church right? Master always told her that she belonged to the church but she never understood what he meant exactly.
"Well if they try anything fishy I'll just get out of here. They seem strong so I'll just have to be on the lookout for ways to escape.."
Amaris thought to herself as the trio stopped at the edge of a cliff. Amaris looked over the outcropping and saw a city.
The city was a bit far away. Between the city and Amaris was a large forest. The forest stretched to the left and right as far as the eye could see.
However, right ahead of the forest only stretched for a few miles. The city had rows and rows of neatly aligned houses and shops.
There was a clear boundary between the two as well. From where they stood she could see how grand the arrangement was and how far the city stretched.
At the center of the buildings was a large cleared off space. A simple yet elegant castle stood proud and tall in the center of that space. Amaris smiled to herself.
"Ah, this must be the capital. I've never been here before."
The cloaked figure grunted and began making his way down the steep drop. He used small handholds that were hidden in the dirt and moss to climb down.
Ren encouraged Amaris to follow him. Soon they were all standing at the beginning of the dense forest.
