บท 1: Dawn of the Human age
In the year 2025, gates start opening from cracks in the earth from these abrupt cracks came forth vicious monsters that started to terrorize the whole earth. Humanity experienced almost complete annihilation from them, human guns and machinery ceased to work against the terrifying aroma of the demonic monsters that shred through millions of people. it was the disaster that spread like wildfire on a windy day, but just when mankind seemed lost and hopeless there came the awakened that miraculously gained special powers to fight off the monsters. These people protected us forthwith with tremendous strength from what they gained as well prestige, power, and wealth. Just when millions upon millions of people died humanity once again rose and started to flourish, though some people are less fortunate not to gain spectacular powers.....
One such person was one of the few 1% who did not gain any powers or abilities; that was Jonas Luke, his slender body and pale face were only one of his so-called birth defects, but the most interesting about him was his eyes. He had golden dark eyes that almost illuminated his whole face, it seemed strange as sometimes they even turned dark red. The thing that toppled his life was when his parents died when he was ten and he became an orphan in this era of humanity. In these times even if you were an orphan if you had a good and sufficient awakening, a family would come and adopt you. Nonetheless, Jonas was one of the few people that had no family and no power, he had been living ever since in the streets eating scraps wherever he could find.
Jonas sometimes saw the powerful awakened that fought against the monsters but he soon saw what true horror was, always surviving in the streets of the outer rims called the dumping grounds. It was a month and he started to get beaten up by people with powers as they always viewed him as nothing at all. A piece of trash that should not exist in this world, he began to hate awakened and their ruthlessness. He was always jacked off and tossed around like they didn't give a care, Jonas always knew deep inside that there was always something he could do so he never lost to them. If he was hungry he would get food off the garbage cans, he would beg, and crawl.
"Ew, get away boy!" "You disgusting little filth just die" "Be careful, he might have a virus" All of this depression and severity of no life made him go through life in a different way than any other person could, he had to survive and keep pushing on. The awakened have always been the ones above everyone, he wanted to live a good and fruitful life. In this era of humanity, strength rules over everything and it is absolute, he had none of that.
Always trying to survive in the harsh environment of his, he has lived in the Ruth orphanage almost all his life. Ruth orphanage was a gloomy place, they always treated him like a rat without batting a glance. Jonas gained many people that hated him enough to torture him into pain. There was one such girl that Jonas always looked upon and glanced at, she was skinny and pale and one thing he knew to himself; she was pretty, and he would never forget her.
"What time is it"Jonas stumbled to find himself thrown out of the orphanage where he has been living for the past 17 years. He was outside the black-looking priest building that made him only learn how to talk in the few years he has been there. "So they're finally tired of me, you know what I don't need 'em anymore! I'm not a kid anymore, guess I'll have to head to the nearest city which is Zander, it's time to take charge of my own life"
"Jonas always saw people with breathtaking powers, unfortunately, he had none of that sort. Once again he thought to himself if he could do something like get a small job but he quickly crossed the idea. What can he do with no powers to protect himself or get a good life, he'll always be a simple nobody that is lifeless. Though deep inside him he still had a sliver of hope that would ignite sooner than later."
Jonas found himself heading to Zander in search of a better life.
"Well I guess I've finally stepped into real life" he muttered, as he stepped into the concrete path heading towards the city and carrying with himself the limited knowledge he had with him.
Do you think you can live without powers? He told himself "Well I can and will, I will always fight to my last breath to survive" Jonas yelled as cars kept passing by and taking subtle glances at him though he didn't care what they thought. "They can go and die for all I care" Jonas smirked and kept walking through the walkway
it was almost all desert and heat when he noticed something up ahead, he only heard about it from awakening reporters "Sh#t" his heart was pumping faster and then he saw the unnerving crack on the ground.....
