As Mark was about to leave, Kay stopped him gently. "Before you go, there's something important I need to tell you."

Mark looked up, curiosity and a hint of apprehension in his eyes. "What is it, Manager?"

Kay took a deep breath, choosing his words carefully. "Mark, you have incredible potential. Your tackling and ability to cut off passes are outstanding. With more focus on your positioning, you can become an even better player."

Mark's eyes widened with surprise. "Really, Manager?"

"Absolutely," Kay affirmed. "We'll keep working one-on-one on your positioning until you master it. I believe in you, Mark. You've got what it takes to be great."

Mark felt a surge of determination. "Thank you, Manager. I'll work hard."

Kay nodded. "I know you will. Now, go get some rest and enjoy your weekend."

On Saturday evening, Kay heard a knock on the door. Opening it, he found his childhood friend, Alex, standing there with a big grin on his face.

"Hey, Manager! Congratulations on your first victory!" Alex exclaimed, pulling Kay into a tight hug.

Kay laughed and ushered Alex into his room. "Thanks, Alex! Come in, come in. It's great to see you."

Alex plopped down on Kay's bed, looking around the room with curiosity.

"I've been reading about you in the sports journals. They all say you did a wonderful job with the team. I'm really proud of you, man."

Kay felt a warm rush of gratitude. "Thanks, Alex. It wasn't easy, but the kids worked hard, and it paid off. I couldn't have asked for a better first match."

The two friends spent the evening discussing Kay's coaching strategies and laughing over shared memories.

Alex was full of questions about the match and the training sessions, and Kay was happy to share his experiences.

They talked about their school days, and their dreams for the future.

As the night wore on, they ordered pizza and played a few video games, just like they used to.

The easy camaraderie made it a perfect evening for Kay, who had been so focused on the team and their training.

The weekend flew by, and soon it was Monday morning. Refreshed and motivated, Kay returned to the Eagles' academy, ready to tackle the new week.

The kids were already on the field, warming up and chatting excitedly about the previous match.

Kay took a deep breath. They had just one week left before the next match, and he was determined to make the most of it.

Ramirez approached Kay and the kids with a serious expression. "Guys, our next opponent has been determined. We're up against the Tigers' academy. They're currently sixth on the list."

Kay nodded, absorbing the information. "Thanks, Ramirez. We'll need to prepare well. Let's see how the kids perform in the simulation match today."

Kay gathered the team and explained the plan for the day. "Alright, everyone. Today we're going to have a simulation match. I want you to play as if it's a real game. This will help us identify and fix any problems before our match against the Tigers."

The kids divided into two teams and took their positions on the field. Kay and Ramirez watched closely from the sidelines, taking notes on their performance.

As the match began, Kay quickly noticed several areas that needed improvement. Mark, often left gaps that the opposing team could exploit, but he showed some impressive tackles and blocks. Kay made a mental note to continue working with him on this.

Michael, the midfielder, seemed hesitant in his decision-making. He occasionally held onto the ball too long, allowing the opposition to close in and dispossess him.

Kay realized they needed to work on quick passes and better communication in the midfield.

The wingers, Taylor and Liam, were not coordinating their runs effectively. They frequently found themselves out of sync, making it difficult to mount a cohesive attack.

Kay decided they needed more drills focused on timing and coordination.

Despite these issues, there were some positive moments. Alex, the striker, demonstrated excellent positioning and made several good attempts on goal.

Aiden, one of the defenders, showed improved focus and made crucial tackles to stop the opposing team's advances.

After the intense simulation match, Kay immediately gathered the team to address the errors he had observed.

He knew they needed to work on these issues right away to be prepared for their upcoming match against the Tigers' academy.

First, he focused on Mark's positioning. Kay set up a three-on-one defending exercise, where Mark had to anticipate the movements of three attacking players and cut off their passing lanes.

He marked key positions on the field with cones and guided Mark through different scenarios, emphasizing the importance of staying aware and reading the game.

This exercise was designed to improve Mark's spatial awareness and decision-making under pressure.

Next, Kay turned his attention to Michael's quick decision-making and passing. He set up a rapid pass-and-move drill, using a small grid with multiple passing options.

Michael had to receive the ball and immediately pass it to a teammate, who would then return it, forcing Michael to think quickly and react.

Kay added light defensive pressure to simulate match conditions, helping Michael develop faster reactions and better communication with his teammates.

For Taylor and Liam, Kay implemented a synchronized running and crossing exercise. He placed cones at intervals along the wing and had both players run through them, timing their runs to arrive at the crossing point simultaneously.

One player would then cross the ball while the other aimed to reach the target area in the box. Kay stressed the importance of eye contact and timing, ensuring they understood how to anticipate each other's movements.

This drill was intended to enhance their ability to work together and create more effective attacking opportunities.

Finally, Kay addressed the team's overall defensive organization with a full-pitch drill focused on maintaining shape and pressing as a unit.

He divided the field into zones and instructed the players to stay within their assigned areas, emphasizing communication and collective movement.

This exercise was aimed at improving the team's defensive cohesion and ensuring they could press effectively without leaving gaps.

Throughout the session, Kay offered constant feedback, praising improvements and correcting mistakes.

He maintained a positive and encouraging atmosphere, understanding the importance of building the kids' confidence.

By the end of the session, the players were visibly more coordinated and aware of their roles on the field.

As the sun began to set, Kay called the team together for a final talk.

"Great work today, everyone. We've addressed some key areas and made significant progress. Remember, it's important to keep practicing these drills. Consistency will help us perform better in the match against the Tigers. Keep believing in yourselves and each other."

As the kids finished their session and headed home, Kay stayed behind with Mark for their one-on-one training.

They worked on positioning and decision-making drills, with Kay offering focused guidance and corrections.

This session was shorter than usual, allowing Mark to absorb the key points without exhausting him.

Once the training ended, Kay noticed his father waiting by the door of the academy.

Together, they drove to the hospital for Kay's final therapy session. Upon arrival, they were greeted by Dr. Thompson, who led them to the therapy room.

Dr. Thompson asked Kay about his current state. Kay responded enthusiastically, "I'm feeling great, Doctor. I can actively participate in drills and help the players without any issues."

The doctor, however, cautioned him. "That's good to hear, Kay. But remember, you shouldn't put too much strain on your artificial leg. It's crucial to balance activity with rest to ensure proper healing."

The session began with Dr. Thompson conducting a thorough examination of Kay's leg, checking for any signs of strain or discomfort.

He then guided Kay through a series of stretching and strengthening exercises, ensuring that the leg was functioning well without overexerting it.

Throughout the session, Dr. Thompson reminded Kay of the importance of moderation and listening to his body's signals.

He emphasized that while it was fantastic to see Kay active and helping his players, he needed to be cautious to prevent any setbacks.

The therapy session ended with Dr. Thompson offering some final advice. "Kay, you've made excellent progress. Keep up with the exercises I've recommended and make sure to balance your coaching duties with adequate rest. Your dedication is commendable, but your health must always come first."

Kay nodded, taking the doctor's words to heart.

After returning home and having dinner with his parents, Kay went to his room to start looking up information on the next opponent.

See you in the next chapter...
