More realistic? Idk

I really appreciate your comment, both of you. Truly a nice thing to see in the morning. I'm slowly coming to terms with how detached and warped readers minds can be, especially when a large majority somehow try to insert themselves into the novel.
Also, y'all really went up in arms with the last chapter. I'm just going to say it once, and never again. I'm writing the story how I want, if you think it's forced, or you dislike a more humane approach to emotions, or think that his memories aren't his (you didn't read properly if you think that,) then you're free to drop the book. Shit's free and I could easily just turn this into some smut filled harem power trope novel.

I also questioned it, and I did some research, unfortunately JK really sucked at giving concise answers, so I found someone comment a while ago that I really enjoyed and though it would work well. Goblins are the only race which knows or has the magical ability to verify the legitimacy of a currency. The process is kept so closely to their chest that all wizards know is they can only perform this process on gold. Think about it, any kind of physical money would be able to be transfigured/created by masters of transfiguration, so there must be some way to prevent it. Wizards went to war with goblins when they refused to share the process of how they made sure a coin/note was legit, and in the end goblins agreed to verify their money as long as they had complete control of the storage of it.
Shaking his head, Dumbledore sat back down. "You may not understand, but I assure you that my gesture was a necessity. Now, I must apologize for disclosing all the information, but until you have a conversation with the Goblins, you will not be truly recognized. I shall send you with Professor McGonagall next weekend to complete everything."

Don't worry, there is a reason behind all of this, and I won't make someone evil unless it is justified and logical. As I said to many commenters who posted earlier on, the story will not explain everything so quickly. If anything, it's a slow burn that trickles information at times.
Nope, just attractive boy meets girl who sucks at interactions.
"Hello Theo, have you been here long?" Her sweet voice flowed into my ears. Her face had a slight flush, possibly from a late-night meeting with someone from another house.

I'm confused by your comment. Do you not understand that is the theme of the situation? He's a man who's struggling to deal with trauma and his own identity. It's a pretty stock standard imposter syndrome situation, and this chapter is a way to show how volatile he is, under the facade os strength.
Heheeeeee! Oh the enjoyment is gonna come, but there needs to be some growth.
I needed to utilize this as a way to control my emotions and protect myself from the hidden machinations of the Wizarding world. Sure, the fact that I could erase magic now was a complete cheat, but one slip or distraction could lead to someone mind-fucking me into oblivion.
