There was the time I slapped the King on the ass and apologized by saying I mistook him for the Queen. And the time I 'adopted' (read: kidnapped) a bunch of Demon babies to raise as my jesterly assistants, nearly starting an outright war with the Demons. Was it perhaps because of my Magic Circuits? No magical energy would leak out from my being because of the pseudo-magical organ so I was thought of as almost a cripple.

The sorting hat had been given access to Zelretch's mind, and an odd thing occurred. Apparently, the hat had reached root somehow. He was now a practitioner of the Kaleidoscope. Zelretch happily took him on as an apprentice. The hat seemed to evolve into a fully sentient being, no longer a construct. Technically, the sorting hat would be classified as a phantasmal beast. As the sorting hat linked himself up to all other versions of himself across the multiverse, chaos ensued on a cosmic level.
