So I read the whole thing and first of all, Itachi chose to kill the entire clan because he was with 'Madara' and he believed that Madara wanted vengeance on the entirety of the clan. Secondly, Itachi is far from brainwashed because remember the time when he threatened Danzo? No brainwashed fellow can do that, the only reason he listened to Hiruzen was because Hiruzen was kinder than Danzo, and he believed Hiruzen will protect Sasuke from Danzo. Also, you said Itachi Did NOT knew about the involvement of superiors? What are you even talking about, he knew absolutely everything, and Why do you think the clan's isolation was Konoha Council's fault? If 9 tails were to attack Konoha, and I knew Uchiha were capable of controlling the Bijuu, I would've also thought Uchiha were to be held responsible. Remember this whole time, they still weren't aware of Obito disguised as Madara. Finally, Based on your comment it seems like you're the type of guy who would choose his family if you're too make the choice between your family and the world, and while I respect that You should realise that there exist people who would choose the world over their family, for the bigger picture, the greater good if you will. I saw you commented how Kakuzu could've killed Hidan but chose to save him, well, what did he do ub Canon? The same thing. Akatsuki has a really intricate plans and back up plans they just couldn't implement those because Naruto and Sasuke were the MC not the Akatsuki.
