He’s been conditioned. He says something, Brian is believed. He does something, Brian is believed. He knows telli ny people won’t work cause no one will believe him. Then again, it seems kind of like his mental health is kind of brushed over. His actions are clearly kind of forced. He doesn’t flinch when reached for or go on inner monologues of self doubt or pain. But sometimes it’ll be mentioned more of like a cover for why nothing has happened. Kind of like coving a hole in the plot.

Speaking from experience, I’d rather have emotional neglect. Being emotionally stunted seems fun compared to the thought of being physically abused. It’s like trauma vs trauma. None is good, but there is a reason why verbal can only be a he said she said situation, while physical abuse leaves evidence.
