Lu Bao had a promising future. He was China Empire Crown Prince and was thus destined to succeed to the throne his father Emperor Wu Ma. However, the sixteen-year-old Crown Heir had bad habits that despised the Emperor and the other members of the imperial family, causing shame upon them. Though the spoiled teenager was repeatedly warned by his father about his dishonorable behavior that would reap terrible consequences, Lu Bao never changed. Ultimately, he was banished by his father for a year from the imperial palace and was allowed to only come back if he was a better person, worthy of being the Crown Prince and next Emperor of China. With no place to go and alone in the streets of Beijing with no money and unable to work, the Crown Prince finally decided without a deep thought to leave China. He secretly embarked on a ship that was about to depart from the coast and found himself in Africa. So amazed by the foreigner, the villagers welcomed Lu Bao joyfully and took him to the King of the Bantu people who ordered that he be given the best guest room in the royal palace and anything he would desire.
