Damon looked back up at Aila in concern, she had blood in her hair, but after sniffing her initially, he knew it wasn't hers. However, he smelt another man on her, something sweet, like strawberries. The stench made him growl again.

That chapter was the BEST!
As much as all the 'running away' is a little bothersome, I actually like how the author is not shying away from her trauma. There is no way she would go through all that, and then just magically recover overnight. It is refreshing to see some depth in that area of writing.
Poor Jim. All he has ever done is try to help. She has a lot of trauma to deal with though.
That was awsome! I am wondering why he didn't say anything about stabbing herself back in the pack house though!?
It's official, Ajax is the best! Although I may be biased because he can shift into a panther. 😆 He brings so much fun to the story.
