You can't it's called at will employment and is in places like the United States. Your boss could fire you for any reason as long as it's not explicitly stated that his reason is sth like race or political inclination. So if your boss doesn't like your for example race he can just give you more and more work till you fail and then fire you.
And What a fucking pig his boss is, he hated the asshole but he can only speak politely to him and not express it out loud, and what can he do otherwise? Say no to him and get fired? Thank you very much but he doesn't want to starve to death.

There is no 'will of the universe' or at least he can't be sure there is. Remember in nearly all the other timeliness earth falls under viltrium rule. Canon Mark is the outlier. He can't know whether this is the same verse or even one called from the show.Or this one has a 'will' to make everything good. Also calling people dumn for criticism isn't cool and it doesn't support your argument it just makes you look like a tool.
So yes, choosing the Viltrumite side was obviously the losing option, besides, they were the bad guys, and as has been shown over time, the bad guys always lose.

relax it's close I was just doing my exams the chapters will flow once more
Maybe their just evil. Bruh your looking too far into this. Do you read Superman comics and think about how he is so fast he could solve all crime on earth in an instant? What can I say man. Even Riordan based his gods off faith. Its just canon. Please.
Oh.... I mean maybe their stupid? Humanity made them the way they are so they won't be perfect gods.
They grew over time. Obviously humans at the time wouldn't be able to picture all powerfull gods. They'd be potrayed as controlling weather making people angry...etc Only when humanity broadened their horizon to things like the galaxy or universe or even the multiverse would they even start thinking of such power. The gods would in turn tell them and show them how strong they were e.g Humanity finds out about the solar system and how huge it is. Zeus tells them if they don't throw a party by 7th September he'll destroy the sun. They believe. He can now destroy the sun.
Yeah but why didn't he tho? Ain't no way Hades just ran for no reason. Killing Percy there would reset the end of the world till his son was chosen. His whole motive
Do you think Percy's feat of over powering Hades and sending him running at the start of the last Olympian makes him major god level?

Your right I guess I fumbled. But you can suspend disbelief and say this isn't the same world as ours and religions cropped up at different time periods.
You think the human's know that? God in the bible literally threatens people with eternal damnation and he still the number one religion. All you have to do is convince them of your power not your benevolence.
It's in the US by the way
