I always went all-in on necromancy, but combined stealth skills and illusion. It worked well on most bosses and common enemies. Skeletons, zombies, and other 'undead' or necromancy-related summons from conjuration. Throw in stealth and illusion to give debuffs to enemies, and you get a decent build that can get you to the mid-late game.
