Forgiving yourself is the only way to move forward, but tbh if a man did the same thing he'd be scum and drowned in spit. 'I never said I'd be thier boyfriend, I just accepted all the things they gave me and they mistakenly thought I liked them'. That's sus, sis. Everyone who loves her telling her she didn't do anything wrong, she's not going to move past the trauma. She knows she had a part in it but still doesn't wanna face it... *sigh*
So, one of the guys killed another guy and is in jail, and the another guy is completely coco for cocoa puffs now? Sometimes these stories go too far, it's hard to have compassion for her now. While she isn't completely at fault for it, her messing around with people's feelings to the point that they would beat someone else to death or attempt suic*de is serious. Her family put themselves through the wringer to clean up after her and she skips off to another country instead of facing up to her actions. I hate that authors ruin characters like this.
