MC is a pathetic loser. He exchanged his carefully cultivated forces for nothing. For cash he doesn’t need. What did he gain from this arc that he didn’t have at the start of his job? He got money and cultivation resources and manual on the first few days. All the other sacrifices for nothing, didn’t gain a loayl concubine with powerful bloodline, didn’t become close to the king, allowed the foreigner to steal his glory, all because he has no will to power and he is not daring enough. It’s like he is afraid of imposing himself onto others. Imagine having cheats but allowing traitors run amok in your camp, a woman you fancy get away and your glory stolen by a foreigner, who’s more daring. What’s even the use of those cheats in the hands of this incompetent MC? Give them to the foreigner, he will find better use.

Bruh, all that wagging his tail in front of her, allowing her lead the relationship, basically dictate everything the way she likes with the exception of their first interaction didn’t work, huh? She chose heavens while mc chose her. Now what? Would he brainwash her with his harmony or did he become an idealistic romantic that would never do such thing? If he gives up on her, when I just don’t get the mc and he is just a fool

Spine to be the most loyal servant

"Sir." Lucius responded. Rena saw his head snap up. Suddenly his good natured spirit vanished and his eyes seemed to glow by the reflection of the candlelight in the room. "I follow Lady Rena's word above all. Above yours. Above the king's. Above the world. Above the gods. Make no mistake. On my father's promise and on my own honor, I will make no concessions to this."

Man, is he going to become her lapdog and servant forever? Is this going to be like a wild beast getting domesticated by this girl, who is going boss him around and be the brains, while our mc going to be just her yes-man? I really hope not, what kind of villain is he, if he is going to be a subordinate of the stupid girl and owe her his life and protection?

What an idiotic decision by Wuyi. Why would he stay and defend this woman and her fortress, when she doesn’t trust him, didn’t provide him with info about demons, does not listen to his intel and wants “proof” of the army? Why would he risk his life and lives of his men to look for the army, when it’s obvious to him and everybody around him. Because of the whim of this idiot woman, who still refuses to tell him everything to find the traitor and refuses to host his men in the fortress? Would you risk your life for her? Lives of your men for her? He already got everything he wanted from this relationship: he got the cultivation manual, got money and resources upfront for the first month and he even finished his mission with killing the demon responsible for killing the elder and culling two other demons in the forest. He has every excuse after dealing with that unreasonable woman to just leave. He has no reason to stay be a hero or an honorable noble and protect this pavilion. Kinda disappointing. Is this because they are all women? Did mc suddenly find conscience and became righteous ? Did the nagging of the pavilion master worked and he became unknowingly her lapdog? Every death that will follow in the expedition to ‘find’ the army is on Wuyi. Any sane wise leader would either just leave or give ultimatum, that if she doesn’t listen they would leave. But Wuyi got played. Hope he learns his lesson, I don’t want read to read about young master who is a sucker.

Incredibly lame. Both Nathan and Eleanor deserve to die or at least suffer some punishment like imprisonment. If Adam was a principled man like Batman, who didn’t kill, this at least somewhat makes sense. But Adam kills and have killed easily, so this is just stupid. Also Adam has no right to take revenge away from Julius and and it was not Julius who made a promise to Nathan, so Adam shouldn’t interfere. I really don’t believe in this cliche, that punishing people, that hurt you is somehow evil or negative. I wanted to say, that Adam would have never let it go if it was his mother and would’ve killed them both, but you already mentioned that in the next chapter. Also why is not killing them is somehow morally better than killing them? The best way to let go is to kill at least her for Julius, but instead he just moved on? Nathan is responsible of terror atack killing innocent children, they imprisoned 2000 children and Alina. They didn’t just take away their freedom, they starved them and abused them. It is not some irrational vengeful evil thing to do to get rid of them forever or make them suffer. How about imprisoning Eleanor for 13*2000 years for all the children? Why is Nathan’s terror attack killing innocent children and risking the lives of everyone around Julius constantly is being rewarded with a job as an advisor? If there was some slavery spell, maybe that can work but this just pure nonsense. In any sane society these people would receive death penalty or life in prison, but here they are rewarded? And Adam intends to build a better world with Julius? With this non-morality? I really don’t see a single positive of sparing them. Julius already almost an adult, more mature than most children, kills animals and beasts often, maybe even killed humans. So why killing them is wrong? Because they deserve death, Julius shouldn’t kill? Or because it’s personal? Adam did one the most selfish things ever by taking away Julius’ revenge, just because he has some romantic ideas in his head. Any sane moral person would resent Adam for this.
