Calander update ... the Gregorian calendar is used by the west that they forcefully push on the world you can have the start of the Vijaynagar Empire as a start of a new calander or follow Vikram Samvat which is 56.7 years ahead of Gregorian calendar. After all it's still a sign of colonialism.
