I think their egg laying time is low, like maybe an egg a week or a month as compared to maybe an year for a dragon, but I could be wrong.
Still, that all Magikarp aside from the one with the worst potential happened to be female was quite a "coincidence". To some extent, their being female was both good and bad. It was good because there was a slightly higher chance for a female Magikarp to pass on her variation to her child. The reason it was bad, was because a female could only have one child at a time, while a male would be able to produce as many progeny as possible as long as willing females were available.

Well, I stocked 200 chapter and currently binge reading them.
I avoided the fish market/area since Vivi recommended that I visit that place as early as possible, preferably close to the time the market opened at 4 a.m. but definitely before 7 a.m. I naturally had to heed her advice since she was a doubly local. Instead, I directed my attention to the stalls and shops selling other stuff, such as the pearl stall that had some white, pink, and blue pearls that grabbed my attention.

In fact, her Ninetales had been her only Pokemon so far that had not made an appearance during the tournament yet, and I was absolutely sure that there was no way that Weiss would not give Ninetales the chance to take part in this. SPOILER ALERT For me, what I found sketchy was the whole Dao of Invasion and the Dao Curse cast by Shi Feng, from my understanding Dao Curse was supposed to make his life miserable and kill him. But it hid him from the anomalies which is counter-productive to its task. But then what is a Dao Curse, I don't think it was mentioned what exactly it does. So, is it like a local thing where if you are in Tianzi, its Heavenly Dao will try to off you, and if on Earth, Gaia will subconsciously fuck up his luck. Or is it like a global thing, wherever there is Heavenly Dao he will forever be miserable? Or is it related to Dao of Invasion, wherever there is Dao of invasion, he will forever be miserable?
