As someone who is a fan of horror, this really evokes the sense of uneasiness and dread as that of watching a movie. The atmosphere is great and the pace is just right which is not too frantic, akin to spamming jumpscares just to get a reaction, nor too drawn-out. A great read especially during those days where a slight jolt of adrenaline is badly needed.

20 chapters in and this novel seems to be a promising one. MC is at least a sensible character that I can easily get behind so far. Looking forward for more.
