why are you overestimating human family ties? no matter what you might lie to me but you cannot lie to yourself in the most extreme circumstances, no family tie or friendship will be enough as mentioned in a lot of religious texts in multiple religions for example in the Quran Surah Abasa (80:34-37): "On the Day a man will flee from his brother, And his mother and his father, And his wife and his children. For every man, that Day will be a matter adequate for him." similarly in the bible Mark 13:12: "Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death." now while eternal suffering is not compared to dying once but let me remind you humans are greedy and only care about themselves most of them might hide it but in extreme conditions no family tie or friendship matters as you will only be thinking of yourself now there might be some people who will sacrifice themselves for you but odds are they aren't doing it for you most likely they are religious and think that sacrificing themselves will make them go to heaven or something similar so yeah humans aren't really that great.
