Even moreso if they're wish-fulfillment self-inserts in all but name. They butchered Naruto and Harry Potter's character and personality so hard, while citing 'character development,' that you wouldn't really know who the fvck they are if their names aren't mentioned. They should really come clean and tell us that they self-inserted themselves into those characters, it's more logical and acceptable than just giving "behind the scenes character development" as an excuse. Another thing that I hated in these two fandoms is the reduction of Danzo and Dumbledore's character and personality into one-dimensionality. Instead of exploring their character and personality, they made them into Disney villains. Rarely they ask about the W&H questions unless they're hot girls.
*Also, I'm getting pretty tired of Harry Potter Fanfic's. So I'm probably going to stop reading and recommending them*

Everything good in his life was nearly completely destroyed thanks to him. Thus he stood on the edge, looking down at an end to his suffering. A single thought slowly gaining traction: Just one step, and it will all be over.

It would definitely be sh*tty if he call Harry," brother" out of nowhere. I've encountered enough shit like that. I really dislike it when an author forced a relationship, it would have been okay if they let it develop much subtly and longer.
Damn. Even when he's not here, he's still haunting me. I let out a sigh, considering moving down to the common room to sleep in one of the chairs instead, but simply pulled aside the drapes to wash my face off in the bathroom. The second my bare foot hit the floor though, I stiffened, then relaxed. Harry was sitting on the floor near the window with Hedwig, who cooed softly at his touch. I approached with Dubh crawling up my pajamas to my shoulder and eyed him.

I snorted, turning with the other first years as though someone behind me had done it in order to not face the wrath that was McGonagall. I forgot he's such an odd one. It was all his fault Harry had to deal with his aunt and uncle though, not to mention having to die in order to kill Voldemort… Hold on. Didn't he cause Harry quite a bit of emotional trauma? I remember liking his silliness, but I'm pretty sure he's responsible for a lot of the shit that happens.
