Going for Gru style built in weapon i see
Very nice story so far. Needs a bit of characterization, but it is still only chapter 4, so not a real problem at the moment. Keep up the good work.
After further reading, I retract my statement. This is very in character for him.
He started to use magic to read the man's mind. It was much easier than playing twenty questions but could only tell him the man's more recent memories, nothing too deep. The other side effect would be that the man's brain would turn to mush as the mana ripped the memories from the neurons. The man started to convulse, and his eyes rolled into the back of his head, showing the whites of his eyes.

A bit strange on how he didn't use mind reading in the first place, or just kidnap someone after they refused him. Less chance of being exposed, more effective info gathering and a chance to examine any differences that people may have gone through in the time he was gone

This will be a reincarnation book, will stay with original worlds unless I run out of ideas.
