I’ve been reading this novel for a while now, and while the world-building and premise are intriguing, I’ve been having a hard time fully engaging with the writing style. At times, the explanations feel a little overwhelming. One thing that really stands out to me is the use of the term ‘mechanical functions.’ When cognitive abilities like memory, reaction speed, and learning speed are described this way, it just doesn’t sit right. These are mental and biological processes, not mechanical ones. It feels like the author is trying to sound technical, but it doesn’t quite make sense in the context. The brain is an organic, living organ—not a machine—and this language kind of creates a disconnect from the rest of the world-building. It’s a small thing, but every time I come across it, I find myself stopping to think about it, which pulls me out of the story. I’ve been pushing myself to keep reading, but that ‘mechanical functions’ term keeps nagging at me, and it does make it harder to stay fully immersed in the experience. It’s a little frustrating because I really want to enjoy the world and the plot, but that inconsistency keeps breaking my focus. Another issue is the lack of clear identification of who’s speaking in dialogue. I often find myself having to pause and figure out who’s saying what, which interrupts the flow of the conversation and makes it harder to connect with the characters. This novel is a new version, and I didn’t read the old one, but I’m planning to give it a try. I can’t help but wonder, though, ‘Why rewrite the novel again?’ If the same issues are still there, it’s hard to see what’s been improved or what was the point of redoing it in the first place. Overall, I think the story has potential, but the execution could use a little refinement—especially when it comes to consistency in language and clearer character identification. The ‘mechanical functions’ thing stands out, and it’s something that could be easily fixed to make the story feel more cohesive.

The use of the term 'mechanical function' in reference to the brain seems scientifically inaccurate. In neuroscience, cognitive processes such as memory, learning, and reflexes are classified as 'neurobiological' functions, not mechanical ones. The brain operates through intricate networks of neurons and complex electrochemical interactions, not through the rigid mechanisms one would associate with machinery. This choice of wording diminishes the nuanced and biological nature of brain functions.

"Yes." Adam spoke slowly. "But not for the reasons you think." His voice grew deep, containing something otherworldly and mythical, as if he were reciting a prophecy. "The Balam Empire and all its allies successfully invaded the Northern Continent under the leadership of the fallen angel, causing the red of war to spread throughout the world, affecting everything, including the anchors, which ultimately induced the Gods to descend into the world with their true bodies to put an end to it."
