Honestly would love to see it on Mewtwo, Mew, Celib, or even Latios or Latias. Not completely overpowered but still really good Pokemon.

🤦♂️ I know that. If you reread he’s able to evolve whenever he feels like it more or less but the MC wants him to wait and actually get aquanted with his new forms first to get the most out of them. Haunter is just THAT old. To the point where he’s stronger than a young Zapdos that was injured/tired and more or less jumped at its most vulnerable.
Kai accepted the remark calmly. Although he only had Haunter, it was by far his strongest Pokémon. In that sense, her observation wasn't wrong.

Yes, but as stated, he simply hasn’t even though he’s met the level and experience requirements. See how easily he evolved into Haunter? That’s due to how long he’s been alive. So the only reason he’s stronger than Zapdos is due to being older. At least that needs to be the case, otherwise Zapdos being weaker than a Ghastly/Haunter makes absolutely zero sense.
