it's probably because it's actually nutritious and balanced over synthfood or just a few plants. A balanced diet helps with energy, health, and mental state (last one is a little more subjective)

'Carrying capacity...It reminds me of those games I used to play before enlisting in the Academy. The characters in those games could carry an abnormal amount of items, multiple big weapons which only an Evolved could lift, or 100s of wheels of cheese. I wouldn't mind an inventory like that.'

it's not so much trash as different parts MAY need to be cooked and/or prepared slightly differently. Now, there are parts of things we don't eat (example is the green covering on corn or certain guts from animals), but otherwise, most things can be eaten if prepped properly.

now, I'm not saying that it isn't thousand fold, but I thought I saw somewhere that when something has fold after the numbers that it is doubled everytime. like the number 5 for example. if it was 3 fold, many people see it as 15, but folding it once is 10, a second would make it 20, and third makes it 40. but please double check me as I'm always open to learning (or being corrected on something I miss read/remembered) Have a good day!
