The way you use rank frustrates me. Fleet admiral is his title not his rank. So just say admiral. We all know by now he is the fleet admiral. Also we know he is the highest position of power so there is no need to say it over and over and over. Also, 2nd lieutenant is the lowest ranking officer in the Marines. Just so you know. I love the story but your use of military language is appalling.
That’s just mean.

First off, the story itself it very good. The only problem I have with it is how descriptive it is. It is almost like the author took a thesaurus and word vomited on the page. It almost feels like searching for word count by overly describing the most mundane details. Again the story is good. It’s just the writing is difficult to stomach sometimes.
But he didn’t use a sword. So how can he claim to be a master swordsman ?
