No, I totally understand you and appreciate your criticism, but if you notice, the comedy is mainly within the Academy, which is the (safe place) within this world. When it gets to the serious aspect of the story, you won't see much comedy.
I am writing a novel that will last 1.2k chapters. The structure has always been the same, with comedy and slice of life towards the end of each arc, and seriousness at the start. I've never changed the structure and if you've managed to reach this point you should be well attuned to the structure. The seriousness is always there, with more slice-of-life focused scene most recently because the novel was constantly getting criticized for not having enough breathers with constant action each time. Unfortunately, I cannot accommodate the vast minority who feel this way so if you don't like slice-of-life and comedy, you may skip to start of each arc where the tone will remain serious until the end
