Honestly, this is great. I know Athex already from Extra Descent which was quite well written. The story so far is quite intriguing, ticking all the boxes that I crave. I especially like the writing style which I find the most pleasing when reading. Honestly, good luck with the novel. It's looking like a banger so I hope it does become one.

That’s alright. I’m just glad you gave it a chance. Regarding Leon, I can’t really answer as that would be a spoiler. But if I did have to say something, it would be; that’s surface level. I’m not that obvious with my foreshadowing.

1) he didn’t stop using it. Notice how he’s becoming sharper and sharper as the story progresses? He is using the experiences of the people he saw to help him make less mistakes. Regarding sword and stuff, his focus has been his domain the entire time. He hasn’t even had the chance to properly train other stuff. 2) He already taught Leon the step.
Not really much, but leveling up from tier 5 to 6 is way more difficult than before. Every level counts.

I did take them into account, and nuclear warheads are not planetary level destruction. I think you severely overestimate the power of a nuke. The explosion is about half a mile, and with 3/4 miles of radiation damage, caving the ground by not that much. In a world where monsters can produce the same type of destruction as well as defend against it, yes, it is primitive.
Lastly, the dwarves found humanity's primitive technology worthless. Furthermore, their arrogance made them seem like brainless monkeys who roamed around flaunting their power and intelligence with no substantial backing.
