I get that the students are all around 16, but you've made them sound like little children with their thinking processes and decisions. You even gave the angel a crappy personality.

I read to chapter 283 and there's nothing too special about this novel. The translation is pretty bad at times and almost feels like mtl. Even the main character's name changes. Probably the weakest aspect of the story is the depth of the characters. I don't feel like I really know or have any attachment to any of the characters after nearly 300 chapters. The world itself is pretty simple and no real in depth talk about any of it. The only positive I guess it's that there's a good amount of chapters released each week, but I wouldn't waste money on such a poor translation and weak story.

Aren't Pathways and this novel the same?

I rarely review novels because I would doubt many of them would receive more than 3-4 stars in most of the criteria. Labeling it as junk food probably isn't too far off the mark. I read a lot for the fact that there are interesting ideas and components in a lot of these stories even if overall they're poorly written compared to a fully fleshed out traditional novel. I like weak to strong fantasy novels that deal with cultivation and/or a good system. A lot of traditional novels are more focused on other aspects of the story rather than the main character becoming a powerhouse. If your novel didn't literally take so many things from MVS and didn't have issues with late chapters constantly I probably wouldn't have put up a review. Also, without those issues I would probably rate 3.5 stars. At the end of the day anyone that likes MVS will probably like your novel, too.

A lot of people give 5 stars out like it's nothing. If I was a writer or possible reader I would rather have critical, true, and thoughtful reviews to understand what the novel is truly like. I've read many fantasy books before ever getting web novels and they tended to have much more thought and effort put into characters, world building (often maps of the world being in the book), and better writing. It takes a lot more work for those writers to release an entire book. Most of the web novels have interesting thoughts that could turn into a great story. The issue is they are more focused on putting out chapters rather than building a deeply developed novel like what's usually released as a book. Some examples would be Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, and Drizzt Do'Urden series. Point being if you're a serious writer/author you shouldn't think that having a 5 star review with no thoughtful input is as useful as a lower star review that's insightful for both you and possible future readers. I just hope this improves you as a writer. I highly suggest reading Game of Thrones to understand character and world development better. I doubt there are many books that compare in that front. Fixing issues like grammar mistakes can be done with a good editor proofreading the chapters prior to releasing them. I don't know how much you make or if it's feasible to hire a decent editor, though. Anyways, good luck and don't stop trying to improve.

I understand people have issues but you were having issues on nearly every chapter. Whether the issues are legit or not the reader experience will be affected. Maybe on future chapters you have or will get better. I think my score is a fair judgement on the free chapters at least. I think the fact that you literally used so many things from MVS is more of an issue. If I was the author of MVS I would feel plagiarized. I do understand stories often share overlapping concepts and similarities, but this is obviously more than that.
