Thanks for the support, and there is a new chapter now.
ch 265 Chapter 265: Ethan and Braydon
History · Darkwood
No and I am back.
ch 265 Chapter 265: Ethan and Braydon
History · Darkwood
I wasn't when you asked the question but I am now so here we are.
ch 265 Chapter 265: Ethan and Braydon
History · Darkwood
No, there will not be a harem. There will only be one person that he marries, and there will not be mistresses either. Other nobles might have them but I do not intend to have mistresses for Braydon.
ch 257 Chapter 257: A Sudden Change of Plans
History · Darkwood
Just to note on that point, Mireille is not from Barakhil. War with the empire might well happen, but not because of this.
ch 247 Chapter 247: Let the Rebels Deal with Earl Fiton
History · Darkwood
I am dealing with some irl stuff right now as well as a helpful dose of writer's block. Mainly the writer's block.
ch 247 Chapter 247: Let the Rebels Deal with Earl Fiton
History · Darkwood
No he is not
ch 0 2 Chapter 2: The Fief, the Merchant and the Remaining Garrison
History · Darkwood
It is basically medieval dick measuring. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
ch 239 Chapter 239: A Friendly Negotiation
History · Darkwood
Not all that much, they were pretty poor due to spending most of their income on trying to kill each other. Hence the lack of a mention of it.
ch 37 Chapter 37: Managing Mapjess
History · Darkwood
Once again I am here to ask, why do I always mix up feat and feet?
"She appears to be very sure of herself, and her capabilities. As if she is not surrounded on all sides by Duke Burn and Duke Ryder's allies. It goes without saying that she is daring and has the ability to back it up. Managing to keep control of her land and not marry a noble to do it is no small feet." Braydon tried to think of what he could say about her, coming up with what he had gathered during their conversation about trade.
History · Darkwood
Something more akin to ck2/3.
"Probably double, Sire" Not what he wanted to hear. 'There goes visiting all three villages in one trip.' With the provisions they had brought there would only be enough time to visit Midbury.
History · Darkwood
Sorry I didn't see this sooner, but basically yes. I mean a title is a title.[img=recommend]
"You do know that you will have to speak with at least some of them again." Steven pointed out. Braydon groaned in response, of course he would. Life would never be that easy.
History · Darkwood
You do realise that this is set in a medieval period right? being born in the right position was very important back then. It is meant to be a matter of rising to the challenge despite being inadequate than being good enough from the start.
ch 27 Chapter 27: Treacherous Agreement
History · Darkwood
I apologise for not making the main character omnipotent from the start of the novel but I do not intend to write a story like that. Braydon will not start out being a genius after years of neglect by his father which has already been mentioned by this point in the story. He has a certain skillset to start out with, that is being good at fighting. Being a lord is not all fighting all of the time. He will be out of his element in more social and managerial roles to begin with. Rhydian is a mentor character for Braydon, he is meant to be strong and competent. And Nela is meant to be a naturally smart person, just because the MC does not have 600 iq does not mean that he is a useless character. Literally 3 things have happened by this point in the story, 1 of them include the MC's skillset.
ch 27 Chapter 27: Treacherous Agreement
History · Darkwood
Funny you should say that as today, I have started posting chapters again now that my uni deadlines are over.
"And who are you to say that to me?!" Braydon was unsure just who the man thought he was. If he had been an earl Braydon would have recognised him already, and there was nobody else besides the King of a higher rank than Braydon. Being his knight, insulting Gerald meant a lack of respect for Braydon himself and he was not about to stand for that.
History · Darkwood
It is actually just 1 rank above. Earl is the same rank as count. A female earl is just plainly called a countess

I have played both warband and bannerlord so probably in some measure.
Gerald was right, looking after the two of them was too much like hard work. There were way too many pickpockets for his liking, it did not help that they were by far the most lavishly dressed people in the market by far. Even if neither one of them liked to dress fancily, that was by noble standards. By a common pickpocket's standards they looked like they were dressed in denars, gold denars.
