Yes we know that Ves is worth much more but the family doesn’t know about his system and therefore is taking a huge risk from where they stand. The story has already established that there have been plenty of flash in the pan designers with a moment of success and then nothing.
"I accept." Ves quickly decided. Despite the gross undervaluation, he didn't wish to act like a greedy toad like that obnoxious uncle he met a few days ago.
