If you look into the Vietnam traps a lot of them were layered in human feces too in order to cause infections and to put a strain of Medical supplies and penicillin. So you would have to drag your squad mate back to base for treatment through a trapped forest with people trying to kill you. It was a war of gorilla warfare at its peak. It used trash technology to a level that we can only look back upon in horror these days and admire the ingenuity.
Taking notes and looking through things took a while. What I learned about trapping in Vietnam sent a shiver down my spine with what they did. It made me think that there were a bunch of modern or game equivalents that I could make. I would have to look into it more and more as I got better at the game. Still, causing infections would not be that useful in a future world unless we had to play for more than two days. It takes time for those types of wounds to fester and kill. But, they caused pain and slowed down their allies.

There are hints to these other stories in the book and things happening around her but you never will read their stories as you read. if I am doing as well as I hoped in this. probably not, I still feel like a new writer even after writing for 4 years.
