Due to Aliens existing. (And being actively shown) the world of Dandadan is vaster in size. But danger? No. Jujutsu Kaisen is far more dangerous. The world is quite litterally adjusting the player levels due to the fact that some frightening people exist. The moment Gojo was born, the world upped in power scaling for everyone. If it is shown in the future that there are literal Gods in Dandadan that are unbound by rules and love to meddle in lesser squabbles. Then I’ll change my mind.

Similarly Arlong had greatly underestimated Luffy and didn’t fight at his full strength, we also have to account for the fact that Arlong had been in the peaceful East Blue for many years by then and had considerably weakened due to his lack of training and fighting his mentality also greatly fell as he had relaxed so much in the peacful sea having not to worry about strong opponents or natural disasters caused on the Grand Line.
