On October 5th, during the National Day holiday week, the peak of travel was in full swing.

This year's Golden Week had two traditional events: the grand military parade and a new record for tourist arrivals, as well as a new event: at 14:00 on October 5th, New Yuan 1B was scheduled for its maiden flight and the first attempt at Core Stage One recovery.

By 11 a.m., more than 700 people had gathered outside the launch site in New Yuan Town, with over 100 being melon-eating onlookers from out of town.

Employees from New Yuan Aeronautics, acquaintances from Southern Machinery Institute, and several individuals from the 6th Institute had all arrived at the launch site to witness the launch of New Yuan 1B.

As a two-stage rocket, New Yuan 1B appeared shorter and fatter compared to New Yuan One, with its four folded support legs giving it a more rugged appearance.
