Mariela's POV

Archer closed his bedroom door on my face before I could respond to him, and I felt like a fool. As I stood in front of his door, I realized he had become so different, and everything he said was true. I felt afraid he would use Andrea, and I know he would never hurt my sister because no matter how angry he was with me, I am sure Archer is still the same towards other people.

I am the only person he hated, which is why he is so cold towards me, I know he would be dealing with his household staff warmly compared with me, and I couldn't blame him. I walked back to my room feeling so down, and I had second thoughts about marrying Archer.

I am sure my married life would be cold as ice, and I will never expect him to talk with me nicely since he felt so hurt, and I wonder when he can forgive me. I got inside my room and adjusted the temperature of the aircon, and I curled into my bed; I find it so hard to sleep after talking with Archer.
